PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi,
I'm trying to write to the same device from two applications in the following manner:
1. Application 1 connects to the device.
2. Application 1 writes to the device.
3. Application 2 connects to the device.
4. Application 2 writes to the device.
5. Application 1 writes to the device.
...
What happens is that when application 2 writes to the device for the first time application 1 is disconnected from the device.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Ohad
Show LessHello everyone,
I have a UI interfacing with my PSoC and everything works fine on Win7 computers (and I have created the FW and my software on a Win7 computer). Now, I would like to install that stuff on a Win8.1 computer, but the installation of the USB UART driver fails.
The issue seems to be that this driver is not coming with the appropriate signature. I then tried turning the enforcement of signatures (using bcdedit in the admin shell) off, but the problem still stays the same.
I hope someone could please help me with this!
Thanks,
Benjamin
Show LessHello,
I have a serious problem with PSoC Creator. When I am trying to open a existed project or create a new one, the PSoC Creator takes too many time to open the text files (*.c & *.h). For example PSoC did take 20 mins to open 3 text files?
I did install / unistall but the problem is still there
Any suggestion?
PS Only one time PSoC gave me the error message described on attached PSF file
Thanks
Show LessHi there
It's long time ago that I programmed some C code. So the C Syntaxes are gone out of my brain:)
I searched I the whole PSOC Creator and Keil help, but I couldn't find an help or lookup table for the basic C Syntaxes. ex. how to perform a logic shift of a Varliable, Array handling, Pointer initializing...
Does sombody know where I can find these?
Best regards
Fabian
Show LessI'm not sure about the meaning of the error message:
Signal "AH_0deg_w" is expected to connect to only one GPIO analog pin but instead it connects to "\SnH_AH_0deg:SC\". Please fix the connection.... in my design. Does it mean the ADC SAR Seq's muxer can be connected only to analog GPIO pins?
I didn't read about it in the datasheet. In this case, why the restriction?
Ans:
In PSoC 5LP, the SAR ADC uses analog hardware mux internally to switch between channels. Analog hardware mux is controlled by the switches near GPIO, which are controlled by DSI lines.
Hence, the input to the analog hardware mux can be only from an analog GPIO and ADC SAR Seq's muxer can be connected only to analog GPIO pins.
It's it possible for the code to find out the name of the build configuration that's being used. I know I can #ifdef NDEBUG to detect of this build is the debug one or not, but what if there was a third configuration. It's there some way the code could get the name of the configuration as a string. I.e "debug" or "release", etc.? Many thanks
Show LessHello all,
Hopefully, this is a beginner question, and I just simply don't know PSoC Creator well enough. I'm trying to include <m8c.h> and "PSoCAPI.h" however when I write it in my code and hit build/generate it says it can not find it. I searched all files on my computer and could not find them. I assume I'm doing something wrong. Ultimately I'm trying to get the nRF24L01 to work for my project and I found the nRF24L01.h on GitHub and incorporated it into my project so iI understand about adding files to PSoC. I'm programming on a PSoC 4100m. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help guide me to the solution.

Show LessI am new to PSoC Creator.
I see one 8 bit control register component available. I want to create 16-bit control register. Can some one please guide me how can I do that using existing component? Or do I need to create from scratch?
thanks
Show LessGood evening all,
I have recently started using PSoc Creator 3.1 in conjunction with one of my EE classes and downloaded it to my laptop at home. <read as ingorant to the IDE and hardware>
I attempted to open the tutorial project at home, the one that I worked on for a few hours at school successfully, and received the following error message:
"Errors found while loading "C:\.......Tutorial.cydsn\TopDesign\TopDesign.cysch" file. This file would not be considered in the update process"
I have determined that the file is indeed at the specified location and have uninstalled and reinstalled the IDE to no avail. I tried the method outlined at http://www.cypress.com/forum/psoc-5-device-programming/using-cy8ckit-059-variable-square-wave-generator where a similar issue was reported, but the User Dependencies is only allowing .cyprj project files to be linked.
Any help would be appreciated, being able to work from home saves me 75 minutes of commuting to campus.
Show LessI am using I2C Master Fixed Funtion in my component library. I am unable to find a parameter type through which I can configure I2C data rate from my component. Is there any way to bring out the I2C data rate on to my component parameter ?
