When a psoc chip on an external board is connected to the kitprog programmer hardware, does psoc creator / psoc programmer automatically detect the new chip connection? Will I have to restart the software with kitprog already connected to the chip on an external board? Psoc creator currently detects the kitprog, but it "fails to acquire device" every time I try to connect. It may be a faulty soldering issue but I just want to confirm that it isn't an issue from the software side, thanks
Show LessIn order to start the bootloader, can it be done with a software reset? Or do I need a hardware reset?
I am looking for ways to combine bootloadable hex(Application code) and bootloader hex file in one hex file, so that in order to test the production unit i need to program only one hex file.
I found some links to do dual boot applications merging using cyelftool. But was not able to use it for single application bootloader.
Below is the link:
Combine Dual-application Bootloadable Hex Files for Production Programming– KBA224390
Can i use cyhextool to do something like this? Not able to find any usage example and parameter for this application.
Device i am working on: CY8C4248LQI-BL553
Show LessI am trying to install PSOC Creator 4.2, although the same thing happens when I try to install 4.1. The installer gets through all the components and then immediately starts to uninstall. The installer then prompts that the installation was interrupted.
There is perhaps some clue in the Windows application log.
I'm not sure what to do next to try and get PSOC Creator to install.

Show LessWhen I try to build my PSoC projects via Jenkins I get the following error:
Error: prj.M0274: Unable to initialize system dependencies. Absolute path is required. 'PSoC Creator\4.2' is not an absolute path.
I am invoking the build with this command:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypress\PSoC Creator\4.2\PSoC Creator\bin\cyprjmgr.exe" -w "myworkspace.cywrk" -prj "myproject" -c "Release" -rebuild -s
As a local user on my build machine via remote desktop I am able to build my project. How can I set the path for system dependencies and what should it look like?
Thanks and regards
Timm
Show LessHi @ll,
I am pleased to announce that from now the free FORTH Mecrisp-Stellaris in the latest version 2.4.5 for the Eva-Kit-044 with the PSoC cy8c4247azi is available for download.
See: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mecrisp/files/Cypress/ >>> mecrisp-stellaris-2.4.5 for cy8c4247azi-044.zip
Mecrisp-Stellaris-FORTH is available for following Eva-Kits / PSoC`s :
Board: / PSoC:
CY8CKIT-043 -> cy8c4247azi
CY8CKIT-044 -> cy8c4247azi
CY8CKIT-046 -> cy8c4248bzi

Show LessI'm trying to debug a CY8C4245LTI-M445 using PSoC Creator 4.2 and the MiniProg 3.
When starting the debug session, the yellow arrow points on the first line in the main(), but the code is actually executing.
When hitting a breakpoint, I can look at the local variables, but that doesn't halt the execution. I tried playing with the "Disable Global Interrupt" button, without success.
See below the CYDWR (programming pins are set as SWD (serial debug).
GCC optimisations are configured as Debug (-Og).
What am I missing?
Show LessHi,
I am reinstalling PSOC Creator and while registering for the Keil PK51 license, the Keil site came up with a 9939 error.
I contacted Keil technical support with the issue their response is as follows
We are aware of this issue and it would take some days until this issue is fixed.
The reason of this problem is that the support period of this license has been expired.
Our teams are in touch with Cypress, so that they renew the support period.
I would also recommend you to get in touch with Cypress so that this issue can be fixed in a timely manner.
At the moment I don't think that this will affect me as I am working with PSOC 4 but are you aware that this is an issue?
Regards
Erik
