Hello world.
Ever since I first installed PSoC creator and programmer, it hasn't been working properly. The first time I run it after turning on my PC there is no problem. However, if I have to open another one I have to close the PSoCProgrammerCOM Module (32-bit) in task manager which also means I now won't be able to program my PSoC. I'll just get stuck for 10 minutes on this screen. After the 10 minutes are up it will boot but I still won't be able to program my PSoC
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and I've also used both a registry cleaner and I've done it manually. Nothing seems to get it up and working. It would be great if someone had some insight on this particular issue.
I inherited a project which uses a quite old version of the GCC toolchain when opening the project I receive the error:
Unable to find the tool chain with name: "ARM CM3-GCC 4.2.1". Select a different tool chain for your workspace.
How do I change the toolchain version of the project? I tried finding this version on the ARM developer project. The oldest version that I could find is 4.6 2012q4. Can someone point me to where to change the project settings or provide a link to the old version of the toolchain?
Show LessWhile I attempt to install the software psoc_designer_5.3.exe, error always happens.
When we are developing and debugging with a program, we often encounter situations where functions or variables are undefined.
But in our subsequent troubleshooting we found that the definitions and declarations were normal.
Then the occurrence of this error could be caused by a file naming problem.
If this is the case, check to see if the .h and .c in the code file are capitalized.
If you use uppercase .C or .H, please remove the file from the project, then change the file name format to lowercase in the file path folder and add it to the project again to compile it.

Show LessHi guys,
It would be great if you could update PSoC Creator to be DPI-aware. It's actually really close already, so it shouldn't be too much work! Currently it's not declared as DPI-aware to Windows, so the whole thing appears blurry - not very professional! Forcing DPI-awareness, though, shows that most of your GUI sizing is already done with relative font sizes, so it's actually very close to a polished application. There are a couple of issues (e.g. icons seem to have hard-coded pixel sizes, listviews seem to have hard-coded pixel item heights) but I really don't think that fixing these up would take too much of your developers' time.
Laptops and tablets, particularly high-end ones (Microsoft's Surface Pro line and almost all of Apple's current models) are rapidly moving to high DPI displays, so this is only going to affect more and more users as time goes on.
Cheers
Jarrad
Show LessHi, all,
The current version of PSOC Creator is 4.4. It was released in Oct, 2020. This version is released about 3 and a half years ago.
When a new version of PSOC Creator is released?
Show LessI need to use creator 4.2 in order to use my PSOC6 -062 SDK, Wher can I downlod the software. I do have 4.4 but not 4.2
Is it possible to request a new feature in PSoC Creator where the user can quick search for a file within their project structure? It's sometimes quite tedious to search for a file in large scale micro projects and a tool similar to the CTRL+P search tool in VSCode would be a really nice addition to the IDE 🙂
Show LessHi,
I recently installed PSoC Creator 4.4 on another PC (shares PSoC projects with the old PC) and I found that the example projects shown in 'Find Code Example' are limited to the examples I already downloaded.
The examples with download icon are not displayed anymore. This problem occurs on the old PC too. First I thought it as a setting problem or something related to corrupted files but I could not find anything about that.
Screenshot shown below.
Searching through the developer community, I found a similar case closed over 3 years ago.
Solved: examples visibility - Infineon Developer Community
If this is the same case, anyone who tries to use code examples should get the same issue with me. Is there anybody having same issue?
Thank you.
