Problem:

I'm just getting started with PSoC Creator. I have been trying to get PSoC Creator set up and configured with a simple onboard button and LED program using a CYCKit-043 and CYCKIT-046.

Unfortunately PSoC Creator 4.2 keeps "hanging" and not responding.  The point at which it hangs is seemingly random, and only when I interact with the program (i.e.  I can start it and let it sit there and it seems to be fine). The inconsistency makes it difficult to reproduce the problem and I am not sure what the problem could be

Is anyone familiar with this problem/ can someone point me in the right direction?

What I have done:

I upgraded the firmware of the kitProgs using PSoC Programmer.

I repaired the install of PSoC Creator 4.2 using the update manager

I uninstalled and reinstalled PSoC Creator 4.2 using the update manager

Software/hardware:

Windows 7 (6.1)

PSoC Creator 4.2

CYCKIT-043 M-Series

CYCKIT-046 L-Series

Hi,

Can you please mention which OS are you using in your system.

Please make ensure that there are no malware in the system.

Also, then can you please try running the PSoC Creator without running Antivirus.I am asking you this because antivirus applications tend to restrict applications from opening, regardless of whether they are trustworthy or not.

This link discusses about the similar issue which can be helpful in diagnosing the issue :
