Hi,

Whenever I try to install the PSoC creator 3.1/3.2(tried with both) software on my window 7/x64 machine, a  window with a message "PSoC CreatorInstaller.exe" pops up and stops the installatio. Update manager also returns the same messages for all installed CY software, whenever it runs.  This issue is not allowing me to even open the previously installed PSoC creator versions.

I have started seeing this issue after installing the PSoC Creator 3.2, four  weeks ago to upgrade one of the AN project to meet the regression test requirement. I am stuck here. Please help.

Very interesting, when a Cypress engineer asks for help here in this forum. Welcome!

I would suggest you to create a MyCase, there was help for similar problems by an engineer, leave your phone-number and your time-zone to get a callback.

My system meets all the required configuration. In fact I had installed five different version of PSoC Creator software (latest being 3.2) before eneded up with this issue while upgrading to Creator 3.2 latest version.  I have uninstalled all five of them and trying to reinstall 3.1 or 3.2 and it shows the above error. I tried by downloading the installtion file directly and also tried with ISO image which I unzipped locally and then try to run the setup. After the first step, where it tries to create the Cypress folder, it pops up with " PSoC CreatorInstaller.exe has stopped working".

Do I need the admin privileged to install this S/W? Uninstalltion didn't delet the folder from the program files, and when I tried to delete manually, it asked for the admin privileged. I was able to set the admin privileged and later were able to delete all previous version folders.

Thanks,

Never hurts to run as admin.

You have anti-virus off ? They can be unpredictable.

I saw that you have not yet created the case.

You can try to clean the registries and then try to install again.
