Hello,
I use miniprog3 to debug and program my board with CY8C4024LQI-S411.
I put a 10k pull up resistor on XRES pin of mcu, use PSOC creator 4.2 and PSOC programmer 3.28 under WIN7 32bit.
When set miniporg3 by 3.3V,SWD,5p, Reset, it can debug and program very well, but I changed to 5V, it can not find the device at all, even I try to set External item and power it by external supply of +5V.
Due to the design has to use +5V power supply, any suggestion about the issue?
Regards,
Chris

Hi chwa_1570756,
Can you please let me know the following things -
1. The reason for a 10k pull up resistor on XRES pin. PSoC 4 has a 5.6k internal pull up resistor.
2. Please connect a 0.1uF capacitor to the XRES pin. Please refer to Section 6. Reset in PSoC 4 Hardware Design Considerations
3. Do you observe a yellow light (apart from the standard labelled lights) when you are programming the device at 5V?
Please share the screenshot of the error that is displayed on PSoC Programmer GUI. Also, is it possible for you to try to program the device using a KitProg to check if that works?
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Rakshith,
I try to remove the 10k pull up resistor on XRES,then it can be debug under +5V very well, but I wonder why it is avialable for other MCU like CY8C4245/6 that I was used to be put a 10k pull up resistor on XRES.
Thanks,
Chris.

Hi chwa_1570756,
Can you please let me know where you found the information regarding a 10k pull up resistor connected on XRES for PSoC 4200 device?

Hi Rakshith,
I just transfer from ST MCU and take it as is.
Best regards.
