I know how to download code to a Cypress chip that is on an evaluation board connected to a Pioneer kit. I simply go through PSoC Creator.
How do I download code to, say, a CYBLE-022001-00 that is not on an evaluation board?
With NXP chips I use a PEMicro Cyclone and a custom-made connector.

You can use a MiniProg3 whose details are available at this link below to the 10-pin programming Header(J4) present on CYBLE-022001-EVAL EZ-BLE PRoC Evaluation Board for programming /debugging PSoC or PRoC in PSoC Creator or PSoC Programmer:
If you don't have CYBLE-022001-EVAL EZ-BLE PRoC Evaluation Board , but just CYBLE-022001-00, then you need to connect the SWD 5pins (SWDIO, SWDCLK, RESET, VTARG & GND) to SWD 5pins available on MiniProg3.
