when I try to compile the project in psoc creator appears:

Error: The project has no top component selected. Select/create a new top component.

How do I correct this?

Can you please post your complete project or a shortened version that shows the error so that we all can have a look at all of your settings. To do so, use

Creator->File->Create Workspace Bundle (minimal)

and attach the resulting file.

In addition, you can try this:

In the workspace, switch to component tab, right click TopDesign and set it as the top component.
