OK, we have found the I2S devices and would like to know if it can be used for MPU TO MPU 64-bit data transfers (no sound).
We would like to setup a mirrored set of registers between two 5LP MPUs using DMA transfers.
We are hoping to accomplish the DMA mirroring as a transparent action.
BTW, we have not completed any DMA functions, we will be researching and testing sample code while we wait for a reply.
We found we can use three I2S Masters with a good build in one 5LP device, all of our other signals are GPIO interconnections.
Thanks in advance for your help.

So I'm trying to make a breathing LED without using a PWM. The thought here is to try and simulate a PWM using counters, comparators and whatever else necessary to increase and decrease the duty cycle that way. However, I have trouble finding good info on how to get started on this. Any advice?

Show LessWhat is the max number of i2c channels I may program into the CY8C5888LTQ-LP097 device?
Using the Del-Sigma A/D on the CYC8kit-5LP at 8 bits, but when increasing to 10 bits or more, the error increases.
I'm using a UART to display measurements to a terminal
The component is configured as:
If my input is 4.002V (accuracy +- 1mV) ,
Then with A/D spits out 4023 mV. which is within 1LSB of error.
Change the A/D to 10bits and the A/D gives 4053mV
Change the A/D to 12 bits and I get : 4061mV
14bits gives 4063mV.
Any Idea as to what I'm doing wrong?

Hello Team,
I need support writing to the pin.
Currently I am using all the pins as output GPIO pins. So i want by default for all of them to be low and then I want to make either of the GPIO high at a single time.
considering the above attached addressing.
My slave address is 0x42 since I have used A1-A6 as GPIO and A0 is pulled High with 330E.
TO write to GPIO0 bit 2
So would it be 42h 08h 02h?
Kindly let me know if this is correct.
Thank you
Show LessWe need to design a custom board using PSoC5LP.
However, we do not want to use the existing MiniProg3 for the write method, so we are looking for an on-board programming method.
The development board uses the EZ-USB FX2LP "CY7C68013A-56LTXC" and we need to develop using this IC.
Please give us more details about this kind of on-board programming. Also, please let me know if there are other approaches.
Thank you.

The 4 pins connectors are seeed compatible.
Hope can be helpful

Hello,
Is there any consolidated documentation (in a single document) available for Application Notes (AN), Code Examples (CE) and Cypress Kits (CY) mentioning all the applicable lists of microcontrollers for an application note/code example? Similarly for the Cypress Kits.
If not, what's the right way to navigate through all the application notes and code examples for a given microcontroller (for ex. CY8C5888LTI-LP097)
Moreover, for many Application Notes and Code examples, the name only has the identifier (ex. ANxxxx / CExxxx) and doesn't tell which controller it is for or the description of what it does.
Am I missing any trick here to read the documents such as decoding the controller it supports from the code of AN or CE?
Thanks!
Can someone point me to the SMIF component for PSOC 5, and the example code download project? I realize SMIF probably will not work with cypress FRAM, as I*f*n appears to be moving away from cypress products, but it will be worth 2 or 3 hours to see.
To avoid re-inventing the wheel, I tried looking at the SMIF component for PSOC 5. I am interfacing to FRAM from Cypress (now I*f*n) It no longer exists. Or, if it exists, it has been hidden. All I want is to interface with serial spi FRAM on the PSOC 5, using work others have done as a starting point.
Why not PSOC 6? If not interested in that question skip the next paragraph.
I have a lot of custom designing of components, so Modus Toolbox is out, as there is no UDB design interface for that environment. I need to assign pins, so modus toolbox is out, since custom assigning pins is almost forbidden in that environment. So psoc 6 is out (for the most part), since support in PSOC Creator is deprecated. I need high temperature operation, and the psoc 6 is not yet qualified for us, so it is out. I need 5v operation, so all psoc 6 is out, even if high temperature qualified.
There are (search based) hints of SMIF component firmware somewhere, but it is always a cypress.com reference, and I*f*n has fully removed the DNS entries for cypress.com, so there is no help there. (I keep getting DNS server errors clicking on links inside documents downloaded from I*f*n!). I found the PDF files for the SMIF, but there is no indication of the firmware in the download page. ALL references to SMIF is for the PSOC 6 (and the associated problems), but none for the PSOC 5.
thanks!
