 I am using a 16-bit PWM fed with a 12Mhz clock on a PSoC 5.

The PWM is set up in the 'TopDesign' with a period of 1600 counts (approx 133us) and a compare of 100 counts. It is implemented as a UDB block.

The only code I have is PWM_Start(), and then PWM_WriteCompare(100), followed by for(;;) to trap the processor.

However, the PWM output keeps turning on and off for periods of time that average around 20ms, as shown in the attached picture. When the PWM is on, it is at the right frequency. But then the output will go low (scope is showing the inverted output of the PWM), for between 5-20ms before repeating.

I have checked, and the 48MHz oscialltor the PSoC 5 is running off is stable. This problem appears as soon as PWM_Start() is called.

I am working on bit destuffing and i have implemented it in software but i also need a hardware implememntation of that. has anyone worked on such before.. i'm getting shifting in serial data into a SIPO shift register and getting a parallel output. I have done flag detection and nrzi conversion of the raw data and now i need to do the bit destuffing and stuffing on the data.

 Hello, i succesfuly programmed PSoC5 using MiniProg3 untill now.

The MiniProg3 is detected by PSoC Programmer.

When i connect MiniProg to a custom made board it detects the power supply as ~2300mV but the board is supplied at 5V, and miniprog gets warmer as usualy. When i remove the miniprog from the board, the yellow LED (from inside miniprog, the one with no label) lights up and it stays lit (i read in the user guide, that there might be a configuration error). I tried to reconnect the miniprog3 but same thing happened.

This custom made PCB board with PSoC5 was programed succesfully yestarday and i can't figure out what is wrong :(. I checked all the programing pins so there is no shortcircuit between them, and the VTARG and GND pins seems ok. (i used the 5 pin connector).

Same thing happens when i try to program the PSoC5 module on the CY8CKIT-001 development board.

Hope i didn't broke the miniprog.

You calculate CRC, from a stream , and after this there isn't any compare with crc incoming and the calculate.WhY they put a CRC calculation, for platonic view?

In same manner , in PRS module, they remove compare function as exist in PSOC1, and if i want compare one random number with the value coming for  example from a serial stream ?. another platonic and unuseful things.

In the same manner for the shith register or others logic there isn't compare logic.

The bad things that exist in PSOC1, take a look on PRS module, that it's easy to transform in a shifth register..

Using Warp verilog it's like take an hammer and punch it's feet.

I like known , the reason for forget this important logic function ?, that complete like said before CRC, PRS and others module.

Hello,

Because the PSoC 5 is still in ES1 phase, there is likley to be some bugs present in the IC. What kind of support will consestants have availible to them, and how much?
