Hello All:
I am working on a project that utilizes USBUART component on the PSoC3. I have an interrupt service routine that is triggered when the USB cable is plugged into a host computer. I am having issues with establishing communication with the host computer. I attach to the device (via the MiniProg3 JTAG cable) and can successfully set breakpoints in main that halt execution and allow me to step through the C source code. However, when I set a breakpoint in an interrupt service routine, I can only step through the disassembly, not the C source. The breakpoint triggers properly, but it would be really helpful if I could step through the source code and not have to cross-reference assembly and C statements.
I have confirmed that Project -> Build Settings... -> DP8051 Keil 9.51 -> Compiler -> Generate Debugging Information is set to True, and that my toolchain is indeed DP8051 Keil 9.51.
Are there any other settings I should check to make sure that debug symbols are included in my ISRs, and not just main.c?
Thanks,
Scott
Show LessHello all,
I am using CY8c3244PVI-133 controller for one of my project.
I want to generate a signal of 40msec on one of the port pin.
I designed in such a way that it will generate a signal and again go back to sleep. and wakeup generate a pulse and again back to sleep.
i.e. sleep->wakeup->high pulse->sleep->wakeup->low pulse->sleep and so on
I am using sleeptimer and in the isr of sleeptimer I am toggling one port pin.
If I set sleeptimer interval = 4sec, port pin is high for 2sec and low for 2sec
If I set sleep timer interval = 2sec then port pin is high for 1sec and low for 1sec
oscillator for sleep timer is ILO i.e 1KHZ
Please guide.
Thank you all

Show LessHello all,
I am using CY8c3244PVI-133 controller for one of my project.
I am using P12.3 as port pin interrupt. it is digital input pin with rising and falling edge of pulse interrupt detection.
I am doing testing by giving signal of period 40msec to this pin.
for this I am using other board which will generate the 40msec signal and I have shorted grounds of my testing board i.e 133 controller and signal generator board.
I did testing with minimum voltage of 1.9V as supply voltage to CY8C3244PVI-133 board and supply to other board i.e signal generator board is 3.3V.
after this testing I manually made P12.3 pin high and low by connecting and disconnecting to ground. but it is not able to detect the interrupt. what has gone wrong in this?
Can I give faster signal at low voltage to this pin?
Please guide.
Thank you all
Show LessHallo,
I go straight to the point:
I need to know how to 'change' the pulse width (compare value) of 16 bit PWM generator at run time without using the PWM16_WritePulseWidth() function (I'm using a CY8C29466).
Now if anyone want to know more here's 'why':
I'm writing a simple app that should act as follow:
- should generate 8 pulses each of a variable width of 1 to 2 ms
- all the pulses should be 'enclosed' in a frame that need to 'last' for no more than 20ms
- each pulse (the first in the frame as the second or any else) should 'repeat' with a period of 20ms
I used a 16 bit PWM generator clocked @ 2MHz with a 'period' of 5000 ticks -> 2.5ms
I set the interrupt type of the PWM16 as 'terminal' count. When the 'interrupt' is triggered I take the width of the nth pulse from an array and pass it to PWM16. I'm using PWM16_WritePulseWidth but, since it's an API call, it will lead to a certain overhead that should translate into delays.
If anyone would suggest a different approach I'm open to any suggestion.
Best Regards,
Michele

Hi all
I am using PSoC 5LP Development kit. I used example project "Hello world Blinky" and programmed. The output information shows "SRAM used: 20797 of 65536 bytes (31.7%)". I wonder that why it costs such large spaces to run "hello world". Does any one know??
Thanks
Show LessFor gpio interrupt,I see the following documents in the chip manual of cy8c20236a.
PRTxIE Registers
Bits 7 to 0: InterruptEnables[7:0]. These bits enable the corresponding port pin interrupt. Only four LSB pins are used since this port has four pins.
question:
I want to know whether Px[0-3] has gpio interrupt?
