PSoC™ 5, 3 & 1 Forum Discussions
Good afternoon everyone,
I have here the Cy8Ckit-059 Psoc5LP and I think to design a filter EMG in this device.I know this is probably a silly question, but I'm encountering some difficulties to make this project.
If I'm right, I have to use a ADC, DMA, Digital Filter and VDAC blocks to make the Band-pass filter. The problem is that I do not know about using DMA block.
If you can tell me what I should know about it I will be very grateful.
Other tips that may help with my work will be of great help.
Thank you very much in advance,

Show LessPSoC Forums,
I am using Isochronous USB to transfer data from the PsoC5LP Devkit to a host PC. If, I sit in a tight loop loading the endpoint with data, the host receives everything intact. In my application, I will not be able to sit in a tight loop feeding the end point as I must wait for data to be created before I can send it. It takes 10s of ms to generate enough data to transmit.
If I load the endpoint with data, delay a few ms, then load the endpoint with new data and delay a few ms, then the data received by the host is corrupted, I believe that the issue is caused by new data being loaded into the endpoint while data is being sent over the USB bus. I need a way of knowing when my Isochronous USB transfer has finished that way I can set the endpoint's paylaod length to 0 while I am waiting for new data to be created. Also, I need a way of knowing when it is safe to load the endpoint with new data, as it seems to me that there could be an issue caused when loading new data into the endpoint. I am imagining issues popping up with the USB endpoint being halfway loaded with new data and a USB data request coming in from the host.
Any help and feedback is greatly appreciated!

Show LessHello,
I am using PSoC5 CY8CKIT-050 for my master thesis project. I use the communication USB port (J2) for UART as well as the on-board USB programming (J1). I keep switching the cables every time I need to re-program the device and this is quite cumbersome not to mention the physical wear of the USB ports.
I wonder if it is safe to have both USB ports connected to the one PC at the same time? Is there any risk of damaging the PC or the board?
Best regards,
Michael
Hello all,
I am trying to configure 16 Capsense buttons with PSoC 1 device CY8C20534. I have coded for 1 byte i.e. 8 buttons & now I wish to go for a WORD count.
So please tell me what changes do I need to do while defining the "I2C register structure" in Main.c & configuring the "buttonstate" variable for a WORD of Buttons in display.c?
I tried to do it but getting lot of errors.
Please give me any sample code for the Buttons count of a WORD. Also suggest if there are any on cypress's site.
Awaits for the positive responce.
Thanks & Regards-
Amit

Show LessI must be doing something wrong, but I just cannot see it.
I am trying to add an external crystal of 20Mhz (I had these laying around). I configure the XTAL block in the design wide resources but the best I can do is ending up in the halt-on-clock-error: while(1) code. I have tried to measure the XTAL_OUT with a scope - with and without the external crystal but it is always low as is the XTAL_IN pin. I have no other external components as the kit board already has two 22pf caps on these pins.
I have also played with the XTAL configuration settings, timeout etc. Nothing seems to help.
Is there a trick to this?
Show LessThe main webpage does not list PSOC3 anymore in the basic products overview (see attached screenprint). Is this a mistake or is there more going on ? I use PSOC3 instead of PSOC5lp on some products because I can use a smaller package...
