I am trying to program a custom program into a kitprog2 board (from a CY8CKIT-059 and at kitprog latest version 2.21) . I am following the instructions contained in the Kitprog2 User Guide Doc. # 002-10738 Rev. *K in section 9.1.
I am starting out using the KitProg2_Custom_App.zip file quoted in this guide. The device is set up as a CY8C5868LTI-LP039, as shown in the guide.
I specify bootloader.hex, elf (as dependencies for the bootloadable component) - I tried both from the programmer and the CY8CKIT-059 folders that are quoted in the guide.
The project builds correctly with no errors.
When I run tools/ Bootloader Host,I first load the KitProg2_Custom2.cyacd file from the \project folder\CortexM3\ARM_GCC_541\Debug folder
In the guide, it shows USB VID/PID as 04B4/F146. However, my kitprog2 enumerates as 04B4/F139 when plugged in normally, and 04B4/013B if I push the SW3 while plugging it in (i.e. bootloader mode). So, I set the filter to 04B4/1F3B. I press SW3 while plugging it into USB port. Green LED blinks at 1 Hz
When I hit Program I get the error: "the bootloader reported error 'command not recognized: ....."
program failed in 70 ms
At this point the green light is on full time. It will go back to blinking if I power it down and plug it back in with SW3 pressed.
kitprog2 still works as a programmer if I plug it in normally (SW3 not pressed)
Any help available? I think I am following all Cypress instructions correctly. Also, I can load bootloadable projects properly into the PSoC5LP target MCU in the CY8CKIT-059 kit.
Thanks
Show LessHi,
I have implemented keyboard using CY8C24894 Ic with HID interface ,it is successfully getting detected in windows environment but not able to get detect in Vxworks. Is there any special driver needed for USB HID Keyboard in Vxworks environment.
Please help!!!

Show LessHi all,
I am using pin 3.3,3.4,3.5,3.6 for MOSI,MISO,CLK and CS in kit cy8ckit-050 it is working fine. But this same pin I used in 097 but it did not work.
Is there any spi pin allocated in 097 ? what is the solution for CY8C5888LTI-LP097 ?
Please help for that.
Thank you

Show LessHey, guys! I would like some help inwith my SPWM circuit above. I need to insert a deadtime between the output from Comp_PWM and dont know how to do it very well.
I've used logic gate, but I don't think its effective.
Any help is welcome
Show LessI have a pin that is used for dual function.
At startup the pin is used to calibrate a clock (so I have set the pin up as digital input with interrupt that increments a count. I measure frequency by number of count in sample window) - this works fine.
After setup, the pin is used to read synchronous data (This is the data pin and another pin is the clock). However, I cannot figure out how to read the pin when it is set up as interrupt? What is the syntax to read the value of this pin, is it accessed by name of the component (in this case "INT_WAKE", which has several other interrupt pins assigned also in this port 2).
I did consider changing pin and using a counter to measure frequency and then use as normal input later but could not figure out how to set up the counter.
If using port as interrupt and digital input is tricky, is there a simply example of using the counter? In this case I would hope to simply start timer in code, wait a sample time and then read a value of how many pulses counted.
Thanks in advance.
Show LessHi,
We are trying to implement USB compliance test.
We would like to confirm for the operation of equipment designed with PSoCLP.
So I have a question.
Does PSoC 5LP have special operating modes such as USB compliance test mode?
(For example, setting a specific register sets the test mode etc.)
Also, although the test mode is not prepared,
Are there methods to be tested and sample projects?
We would like to obtain information on PSoC5LP USB component compliance test.

Show LessHey everybody.
I'm using CY8CMBR3116 CapSense IC along with PSoC 5LP MCU.
Interfacing has been done. The application is I have to long press a CapSense button for more than 7 seconds to continue with a task.
Can someone please help me how to implement long press? Thanks in advance.

Show LessHi Team,
I am first time using PSOC micro controller and ordered one development board for testing (http://www.cypress.com/documentation/development-kitsboards/cy8ckit-050-psoc-5lp-development-kit). For using this development board how to interface 7'' LCD display ?
Any software available for development GUI screens ?
Please help on this.
Thanks and Regards,
Nv.
Show LessIn the following setup:
I'm sending two bytes and then read 10 back, as seen here:
After the two bytes are sent, I clear the SPI Rx FIFO, which clears the DRQ to the Rx DMA channel. I then transmit 10 dummy bytes to read 10 bytes back. As you can see in the trace above, the Rx interrupt (driven by the DMA NRQ signal) occurs at the beginning of the last byte being clocked in, rather than at the actual completion of the transfer.
I've tried this with different transfer sizes and this always happens one byte early. The transfer does complete before I get around to handling it, so it effectively works, but I'd like to understand what's going on here and avoid future problems.
