PSoC™ 5, 3 & 1 Forum Discussions
Hi,
Here what I use in this project :
- 'PSoC 5LP CY8C5888LT*-LP097' Prototyping kit
- 2Go Micro SD transcend card
- microSD click from Mikroe
- SD Card Formatter and/or Formatter from Windows 10
- UART (named UARTGPS because of my project) communication with Termite 3.4 instead of LCD in the example.
- Default configuration for emFile in TopDesign
- Tried FAT16 and FAT32
- tried with pins 2[3:6] then 12.0 12.4 12.3 12.2
My code compile without error,
But in the end, it just does nothing, and it seems that it doesn't even see the sd card. It only displays a generic name "mmc:0" which is why I changed the SD card name to "UMTS" to be sure it was not working.
Here I link the schematics for my SD card Reader : https://download.mikroe.com/documents/add-on-boards/click/microsd/microsd-click-schematic.pdf
And all the information : https://www.mikroe.com/microsd-click
Intersting fact that might be a lead : I measured voltage with a voltmeter (DC mode) and I couldn't measure anything except for CS pin
Show LessHi,
We would like to use BCP(Bridge Control Panel) with PSoC5LP.
For PSoC4, RegistorMap.h file is generated automatically but PSoC5LP is not.
Therefore, these parameters of the sensor to transmit is unknown.
If it is PSoC4, Component name is CapSense, Sensor name is BUTTON0(Initial name when added),
Raw count : CapSense_BUTTON0_SNS0_RAW0_VALUE
Baseline : CapSense_BUTTON0_SNS0_BSLN0_VALUE
Diff : CapSense_BUTTON0_SNS0_DIFF_VALUE
Signal : CapSense_SNS_STATUS0_VALUE
Where should I refer to PSoC5LP?
I searched for but I did not know the corresponding register.
Regards,
Show LessHello,
I have been working on a project for some time and have come across a curious issue. I have a project that has been coded, compiled and loaded successfully onto a custom board. Through troubleshooting this project, adjustments were made on the boards layout and a new board was made. This new board I am having trouble programming. When I initiate programming, a prompt appears saying that the target cannot be acquired. The error message is,
"Error "Unable to acquire target device PSoC 3 CY8C3866PV*-070: Unable to read memory, Debug Enable is not set. Click Port Acquire to reset the chip and enable debug." was received while trying to change the selected target."
No matter how many times I follow its directions it doesn't solve the problem. I am convinced this is a hardware connection error causing this since that is the change between the two built units. The layout difference between the two are the capacitors connected on the VCCD and VCCA. On the first board the capacitors were forgotten. They were later white-wired on and the project worked. The new layout simply added space for the capacitors and made the proper connections.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Show Lessproject is known good and works on a Windows 10 box.
On Windows 8.1 box w/ creator installed I have a driver error no driver loads.
Error Pictured:
On a Windows 10 box (no Cypress Creator/Programmer suite installed), the USB UART driver automatically installed with no problem. It's using the Microsoft USB to Serial driver. Pictured here:
Hello all,
Our device is using the Cypress ARM Cortex-M3 (CY8c5866LTI-LP022, PSoC5800). It stores data which is sent to the client using USB.
For this, we install the Cypress USB UART driver (https://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/microsoft-certified-usb-uart-driver ) on the PC.
All works splendid, however...
On some of the windows 10 computers, the driver disappears after an update.
The fix is simple: Right click the Unknown device -> update drivers -> automatically search for drivers -> done.
All is working again... however:
Why does this happen? and what can I do about it so it won't happen again / or is solved automatically/programatically.
Best regards,
JB
Show LessHello,
I have an IR camera that connects to GND, SCL, and SDA Arduino headers. I tried using my Arduino code but obviously, the code is different in Modus. How would I go about reading the information that comes off of those ports in Modus? I would really appreciate any help someone could provide. Here is the link to the code and the IR camera: https://www.robotshop.com/media/files/pdf2/dfr-553-wiki.pdf Thank you In advance. Also sorry if it seems I am spamming I just don't know where to put this question.
Very Respectfully,

Show LessHi everyone.
I am using PSoC5 LP - CY8CKIT-050. I am trying to get ECG signal by using the Trans-Impedance Amplifier (TIA) of PSoC5. The chain I have used in my schematic is shown below.
I don't know how to use the TIA(I have tryed to read its datesheet, but I didn't full understand it) . Therefore, I'm not sure how to set its pins. I tryed to set the pins as follows:
With this configuration I didn't get any signal coming from UART. So, I let the PSoC creator set the pins, which is demonstrated in the image below.
As you can see, E1 is set in P15[0], but I couldn't find this pin in the PSoC 5 board.
If anyone have any idea about this issue I would be happy to hear the answer. Thanks a lot!.
Show LessI get an error when compiling a Math functions with an argument such as y=sin(x) using a PSoC 5LP chip.
prj.M0120: Build error: undefined reference to `sin`.
Is there a way around this?

Show LessHello,
I am upgrading my PSoC 3 device field-upgradable using SWD debug pin.
I was using I2C communication protocol but showing error "can't use debug pin as I2C".
I have gone through the I2C bootloader document but not getting a clear view of pin connections.
Product name: CY8C3245LTI-163
Please help me out.
Show LessI'm trying to figure it out how to use per-pin Api to set alternatively the pin component showed
in attached pic, between open drain drive low and high impedance analog.
I'm using CyPins_SetPinDriveMode(CYREG_PRT0_PC5,PIN_DM_OD_LO );
and CyPins_SetPinDriveMode(CYREG_PRT0_PC5, PIN_DM_ALG_HIZ); with no success.
I would need to measures the R_1 voltage drop with the DeltaSigma adc.
This is just one cell of the circuit I'm trying to implement.
The final circuit is gonna need to measure 4 resistor sequentially using a Amux to connect to ADC, the pot R_2 is manually operated.
That's the reason to switch between Analog high impedance and open drain , drive low.
I cannot achieve hook up the R_1 and and ADC negative input to Vssa with the pin component.
Thank you for some help.
