Which PSOC eval kit will I need to create a divide by up to 8,333
Is it possible to build a tuneable filter with a PSOC ?
How many different filters can you run simultanously on a PSOC device ?
I would like to build an audio filter device where you can adjust the cutoff frequency during runtime by a rotary encoder.
Is a quadrature encoder function part of the library for the PSOC ?
The device should implement a bandpass filter, a band rejection filter, a lowpass filter and also a highpass filter.
It should be possible to switch between this four different filter types.
So if I use for the bandpass filter a combination of a lowpass and a highpass filter two filters should run at the same time.
The filters should have a minimum order of four better six. The filter characteristic could be bessel or butterworth.
Also the gain should be adjustable.
So I will have a switch for the four filter types (Maybe also a rotary encoder), two rotary encoders for the cutoff frequencies and a fourth rotary encoder to adjust the gain of the device. I will have also to display the selected cutoff frequencies and maybe the selected filter type. So I need an LCD.
Is it possible to build your own layout with a PSOC device ?
If it is in general possible to build such a device which PSOC should I use ?
There will be an analog input with a sample rate of 44.1 KHz (Maybe 12 bit resolution) and an analog output for the filtered signal.
As an alternative solution I can only imagine an clock controlled integrated filter controlled by a microcontroller.
Hi,
The PSoCLP CapSense component datasheet includes the following:
We understand the relationship between scan speed and resolution scan speed and resolution.
For example,
CapSense input clock : 24MHzScan Speed : Fast
Divides the component input clock by 2 = 12MHz
What does this frequency indicate?
Is it a digital circuit clock?
Is this clock is "Clock from UDB"?

Show LessHello,
I want to connect multiple 2-wire RTD in PSoC 5LP.
I have two questions to make a above project:
1) which block is needed to detect 2-wire RTD,
2) how can I use 10 channel of RTD in PSoC 5LP.
I found a official document for 4-wire RTD but I couldn't
find out a document which for 2-wire
best regards,
Yuya
Show LessHey, guys
I'm developing a VFD and need to apply voltage proportional to frequency, i did some calculus and need to solve something like "-1.19=-2*x+sin(2*x)" .
Does PSoC/cortex M3 is able to solve x ? Maybe Newton-Rapshon method
How can I apply this?
Thanks
Show LessHello, I am working on a small design where the PSOC is a SPI Slave and a DSP is the Master SPI. The SPI Slave is configure to use the RX_Interrupt ISR pin:
When the Master SPI device does a transmit it does enter the CY_ISR:
The above image shows the Debugger stopping at my break point inside my ISR.
This is good BUT the problem is when I try to read the SPIS_DSP_GetRxBufferSize() function.
It shows 0 words in the RX memory buffer. There should be 6 words in the memory buffer;
Above is a screen shot showing the 6 transfers.
I would like to read how many words are in the memory buffer and then read them out.
I will upload my code. I must be missing something.
Thank you very much.
Joe
Show LessUsing CY8C29466 and the BootLdrI2C module. The PSoc is used as a slave addressed by a Linux SBC acting as Master.
When I try and read from a register in the PSoC, using a sub-address, (e.g. linux command i2cget -y 0 0x30 0) the PSoc interprets the read as a write; both read and write complete flags get set simultaneously.
Clk and Data signals look like this. (Resistance in series to slave ensure signals driven by slave don't go to 0V)
Any help/thoughts gratefully received.
Show LessCan anyone help me get started with a PSoC3 (CY8C32345LTI-163) project using a graphic LCD (New Haven, ST7565R controller)?
I don't see any examples in PSoC3, and I have tried creating from scratch and also cloning a PSoC6 example (save as template, then create new project based on that). Both of those have created errors that I have not been able to resolve (component differences...).
I suspect that graphic LCD on PSoC3 must have been done plenty of times. If anyone is willing to share a project to get me started I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance -
Dan
Show LessHello,
I have been using PSoC Designer 5.4 for a while now and I have ran into a new problem that I have not seen before. When I Generate/Build a Project (Pressing F6) PSoC Designer gives me the following;
Starting MAKE...
creating project.mk
make: *** No rule to make target `N:\Documentation\Components,', needed by `lib/obj/adc10_1.o'. Stop.
PGM0022_Rev08 - 1 error(s) 0 warning(s) 09:56:10
Background information, this problem only started after we had a new server installed at our company. I have went and tried to Generate/Build a Project older projects that never had problems. All of those working projects have the same error code.
My next step was to clone the non-working Project to the desktop of my work computer. When I Generate/Build a Project it Built without errors, but when I clone this same Project from my desktop back onto the Server, the error code came back.
I have also tried this on other work computers, it does not build while the project is saved on our server. Again, when I save it to the desktop of a work computer the project builds with that error code.
I did have our IT Company check if there was any permission and or Firewall problems. Our IT Company did not find any problems, I do have access to all the folders where the project is saved on the server.
If anyone has any information and or a Fix to this problem would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You,
Jake Johnson
Show LessHi,
Greetings!
We are leaving manufacturers of process automation equipment in India.
Recently we have started working on CY8CMBR3108 MBR touch controller.
We had few successful trials with the same and it works very well.
However we are having some queries as below, request you to please help us on the same.
1. However here we came to know that button size can not exceeds 15mm x 15mm.
So is it possible to have button size bigger than 15mm x 15mm?
2. Is it possible to make 1 large button by combining 2 or more buttons?
3. Do you have MBR touch controller for touchpad / trackpad application?
Here please note that we are referring AN90071 CapSense design Guide.
Thanks in advance.
