hello,
I tried to write a simple project to see if I can use the rtc component in psoc 5lp - 059.
I attached here my project can someone please help me and tell me why the rtc data (min,sec....) stay the same.
***I used uart to see the data on my computer screen.
Thanks!
Show LessI ned a function with 2 interrupts on input pins one on rising edge and one on falling edge.
This is the code.
CY_ISR(PulsOn_interrupt) // Frankfurt Ur interrupt Puls on
{
PulsOn_ClearPending();
PauLen=PulCnt;
PulCnt=0;
PausOk=1;
Blue[18][1]= 0x80;
Blue[19][1]= 0x80;
}
Started with this order.
PulsOn_StartEx(PulsOn_interrupt);
The problem is the interrupt is running all the time,
No code outside this interrupt is executed.
I have 2 other interrupts on internal clocks one for timing and one for scanning a LED matrix running allright.
The input pin is set up to no HWconnection, Transparent and Rising edge interrupt.
The interrupt are set up to DERIVED.
Show LessHi,
I'm improving the default bootloader to calculate the entire application CRC instead of the 8bit checksum.
I was successful in inserting the CRC into the cyacd file and implementing it in the bootloader.
My problem is that when I insert it into the hex file it is not enough and I get the following error when trying to program the hex file with the PSoC programmer "FAILED! Hex File parsing failure. Checksum of Main Flash does not match Hex Checksum record" I'm assuming that aside from the row checksums there is also a checksum of the entire file.
How is this checksum calculated and where is it stored?
Show LessDear Sir / Madam,
I want to know two things in UART Communication.
1). In which pin from CY8CKIT-050 , uses as a UART TX and RX in Cypress IDE.
2). Sample code for UART Tx and Rx data for CY8CKIT-050.
Show LessHi! I have read a lot of articles about IR Remote Controls for Arduino and Raspberry but they are using special libraries for it. Is there any chance to use a IR Remote Control Kit with PSoC 5LP?
This link is with an Arduino app for remote control using IRremote.h: https://dronebotworkshop.com/using-ir-remote-controls-with-arduino/
Show LessI'm trying to make a simple PSOC 5 board with just the PSOC, support capacitors, a kitprog connector and an op-amp but I can't get the kitprog to talk to it. I believe I am following the directions on page 10 of the datasheet in terms of capacitor values and vccd/vddio/vdda/etc. , I'm checking that SWDCLK and SWDIO are getting to the part and RST on the kitprog is connected to the XRST pin of the PSOC chip (pin 15 on the QFP). there is a 10k ohm pullup on the RST/XRES line. measuring it seems to show that it is constantly high. the VCCD pin/cap has 1.8v on it. nothing shows up aside from the kitprog itself in psoc creator.
I'm not really sure what to debug next. anyone have advice on how to move forward or what this?
Show LessHello
I designed a closed-loop system on MATLAB Simulink. The microcontroller in the system takes two feedback inputs and generates one output.
The model is shown in the image below. In this, the block that I marked with a blue arrow is the block in Simulink that works as a microcontroller in the real world. Is it possible to use PSoC in place of this block in a real-world system? In the real world all those circuit elements like inductor, capacitor, etc., will be real elements and for sensing the two inputs, two sensors will be required. The sensed signals will be sent to the PSoC pins and some other pin will generate the output. So, do I need to change my code in MATLAB to C for this purpose or PSoC has the option for an easy interfacing?
I used a dSpace microcontroller once before and it was able to directly interface with the MATLAB without the need to convert code. How will that be possible using PSoC?
Best Regards
Show LessWorking on a project in 4.2 with multiple(6) quadrature decoders, based on quadrature decoder example for 5lp. I am only using 1/2 the available UDB's.
Looks like from the report it is using 100% of the macrocells though.
Getting Error unable to pack design into 24 udb. Not sure if there is some tuning parameter or something I can give the placer to help it find its way. Have tried cleaning and rebuilding project, which has helped sometimes in the past when running into similar issues.
Attached is project bundle.
Any info/advice would be helpful.
Thanks,
Chris
Show LessI have build a project but there are some warnings & notes.
I think notes is not important and can be ignored. But there are 7 warnings which I don't know if they can be ignored?
For the first one, I have followed the notice details to setting UnusedBondedIO to Disallowed. The warning is removed.
But I don't know the meaning of sta.M0021 & sta.M0019.

Hello there,
I am searching for precise frequency measurement MCU or IC which would have higher resolution than regular MCU (1.8 nanosecond resolution at 550 MHz with STM32H7 ).
I need to measure:
frequency ranging 1-2 MHz of a square signal with averaging over the period of 50 usec.
time measurement resolution: <1ns
period of one measurement: 50 usec
I know that there are some time to digital convertors such as TDC7200 / TDC-GPX2. These may be connected in front of any MCU and perform the measurement. Unfortunately it can measure time between start and stop signal. I need to measure number of edges of input frequency signal during entire period (50 usec).
Q1: Can any of your MCU/IC/PSoC meet this measurements?
Q2: Is there any recommended connection / additional IC which would help me to measure number of edges within a given 50 usec measurement period? I may use a traditional MCU but they do not run usually fast enough.
Maybe this task very easy to solve but I am grateful for any answer.
Thank you,
Michael
