PSoC 5, 3 & 1 MCU

Is there a socket made for this device?  I would like to program the devices before they are placed on a board.  I have an application that is so small there is no room for a header.  This is the very small 48 pin package.

Hi @Ken_in_Idaho ,

CY8C3244LTI-123 device supports programming through 3 different wired protocols as SWD, JTAG, SWV and also bootloader programming through I2C, SPI, UART, USB and other interfaces. To read about this in detail, you can go through the section 9 on page 63 of PSoC 3 datasheet here : https://www.cypress.com/file/127131/download .

Also, you can refer the programming specifications for PSoC 3 devices here : https://www.cypress.com/documentation/programming-specifications/cy8c32xxx-cy8c34xxx-cy8c36xxx-cy8c3... .

Please refer the above resources and let us know if this helps or in case of any further queries.

Best Regards,

Aashita

Ken,

Ask your distributor if they provide that service.

You might be able to find a 48-pin QFN socket that would allow you to program it yourself.

Here are a couple of links to QFN-48 socketed boards.

You might have to modify the boards to connect the correct pins for the PSoC3.
