In the AN96527 : Designing USB Type-C Products Using Cypress's CCG1 Controllers , the Author uses CY8CKIT-040 – PSoC 4000 Pioneer Development Kit as USB PD sniffer. Does anybody know how to do? Could you tell me more details? Thanks.
Currently we have a tool built to sniff and analyze the USB-PD communication packets which is internal to Cypress. It is not available to the customers. However, we are coming up with a stand alone kit which will be used as USB-PD Bus Analyzer. We will be releasing the kit by end of March 2016. The kit will come with in-built firmware and GUI which will decode and represent the USB-PD communication packets in user understandable form.
