CY8C3445 compatibility

Is it possible to program the FW of the CY8C3445AXI-104 on the CY8C3446AXI-105?

Due to the recent supply shortage, it is difficult to obtain 3445 quantitatively. I can get 3446. If it is compatible, I would like to use this instead.

Hello Tetsuo-san,

You can use CY8C3446AXI-105, in place of CY8C3445AXI-104. The two parts are identical, except that the former has double the amount of flash, sram and eeprom and 4 more UDBs. However, I suggest you validate your application on a small number of CY8C3446AXI-105 devices and if successful order the required quantity for production use. If there is any issue, do kindly let us know, we are there to support, as always.

Thank you for your quick response.

Will the increased peripherals and UDBs be automatically disabled?
The capacity of Flash is doubled, how is it judged by FW?
Is the back half of the address disabled?

Hello Tetsuo-san,

The UDBs will not be enabled, and so they will remain disabled. The additional flash will not be disabled, but it will not affect the FW.
