PSoC™ 4 Forum Discussions
Hi everyone,
I want to create a BLE Tag with a PSoC 4, and while I was checking the Find Me profile the actual current is 5 mA, but I want to use a coin cell battery so this current is too high if I want to use continously.
I want to implement Low Power modes (Sleep or Deep Sleep mode) but I don't know if the system advertises when it is in this modes.
Do you know how to reduce the power consumption and create my own Ble Tag

Show LessHi! It's me again! After I got everything running today, I bricked it again somehow. As you can see in the attached Project, I have NOTHING but one ISR reacting on a rising edge on a GPIO. Still, everytime the ISR starts executing, it jumps to another ISR after the first instruction in my supposed-to-execute ISR.
I have no idea why it jumps. it seems completely random to me.
Can anybody help?
Peace Noah
Show LessHi, I cannot enable internal pull-ups on I2C pins in the above mentioned device. The same code works just fine in CYBLE-022001-00, which is also PSoC 4 based, you know.
I2C_Start();
I2C_scl_SetDriveMode(I2C_scl_DM_RES_UP); // use internal pull-up I2C resistors
I2C_sda_SetDriveMode(I2C_sda_DM_RES_UP);
Question is, hence, how to do the same in 4100 series? The closest topic I found is this:
http://www.cypress.com/forum/psoc-4-architecture/scb-i2c-pull-enable-lvttl
However, a similar problem is not solved there.
Also, are there any Hardware Errata-sheet documents?
Show LessAs showed in attached picture Psoc4 in example project (Environment Sensor) enters endless sleep loop. No debugging info available, because it happens inside Cypress proprietary (IP) code. I have the chip which I paid for. But when it comes to debugging, I've found , I don't know what I really paid for. The is still Cypress value, which I was not informed before.
And I'm stuck. Now there will be a rock'n roll please provide the code etc (Environmental Sensor is not enough). This happens once upon a time but enough to judge the chip useless
Show LessHello,
I noted that CYBLE chip can act as central and peripheral mode in the same chip. In the example (Day012_Central_Peripheral), , it is connected as either central and peripheral mode (master or slave). But can this chip be connected as both central and peripheral mode at the same time? I would to make the chip acting as a BLE repeater to extend the signal distance.
Best regards.

Show LessDue to an project i am using the psoc 4 ble module to enable a device the ble functionality. To program the module i am using the miniprog 3. Everytime i try to program the module with the psoc programmer i got a fail. The MINIPROG 3 is listed on the psoc programmer so i think there are no driver issues.
My settings are:
- Powercycle on because there is no externel power supply
- SWD protocol
- Controller: CY8C4247LQI-BL483
- 5 pin
The connection between the miniprog3 (CY8CKIT-002) and the PSoC 4 BLE MODULE (CY8CKIT-142) is shown in attachment CON1.jpg. The settings for the psoc programmer and the fail message are shown in attachment PSOCPROG.jpg.
I am looking forward to read your replies. Thx
Show LessHi!
Sorry for the thousands of posts but the CYBLE keeps fooling me ...
I followed the example here: http://www.cypress.com/documentation/code-examples/ce95385-tcpwm-timercounter-operation-psoc-4?source=search&keywords=tcpwm . I can't find any difference to my example and it drives me crazy. I also tried doing all the configuration 100% programmatically. Didn't work.
I am running out of stuff to try. I tested if the counter even counts and it doesn't. I checked every function in the datasheet and still can't figure it out ... I don't know if the clock might be broken ...
Thanks in advance for any help!
Peace Noah
Show Lessplease help me to establish mesh network on ble 4.2.
My application is: I have 5 cypress module and each module have some data ex. (temp, pressure etc). and i want to sent this data to other device that is gateway(wifi + ble) connected to net. Now the challenge is all 5 cypress module may be not in range of gateway .
When gateway scan any one device and say give me data of 5th module. At that time may be 5th module is not directly connected to gateway.
So my question is it is possible to send data via other module which is near to gateway. Can i implement mesh network for this application??
If yes Please help me how to do?
