Hello,
I am working on a project and my team is trying to read a joystick input into a serial port. Right now I am trying to convert the joystick game controller code to meet my needs.
A second question we have regards BLE versus standard Bluetooth. Is it possible to use regular Bluetooth to connect to the PSoC?
Please let me know how this could be accomplished.
Show LessFrom What is the iBeacon Bluetooth Profile I understood the format of iBeacon. In Project #008: GAP Broadcaster it is mentioned that iBeacon is based on GAP Broadcaster approach. However, PSoC Creator doesn't allow me to customize advertisement packet to make iBeacon based on GAP Broadcaster template. How can I do it?

Show LessHi ,
I am currently trying to develop an app for a Custom BLE Profile. I am not using CySmart App as I have to see the values of my product in hex format and I would like to develop an app which could show the user friendly values. Do we have any application note for creating an android app for custom BLE ?
Thanks in Advance !
Show LessHello,
I have made a custom application to CY5670 USB Dongle. Application is a BLE client that also has serial communication link to PC through it's USB interface. All is working OK on my Windows machine. I can read messages and send commands using Teraterm.
It would be important to get similar functionality on my Linux machine as well. When I plug the CY5670 USB Dongle on Linux, there will be no new device nodes on /dev/tty* list (no /dev/ttyACM* that I was expecting to have)
When I give lsusb command it gives following responce:
Bus 008 Device 003: ID 04b4:f139 Cypress Semiconductor Corp.
Could someone advice to make USB/UART bridge functionality to work on Linux?
Show LessHi All
I am extremely new to BLE so please bear with me ! I am using the CY8CKIT-042-BLE PSoC 4/PRoC Pioneer Kit and I tried a few code examples given in PSoC Creator 3.3 and got them to work successfully on my Android phone with the CySmart application installed on the phone.
Now my aim to design a custom android application which has access to all the Services, Characteristics and Descriptors that I have in my custom profile. My main question is that is there a way that the chip automatically connects to the phone as soon as the chip powers up. Right now, one has to manually connect it each time and pair. Can that process be automated so that the connection is established automatically as soon as the chip gets power ?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Show LessOne of my machines runs under Win Vista and I am not able to install all four needed drivers, only two of them get installed
When I connect the Kit to USB the files are searched in Windows Update... and not found.
Is there an alternate source where I can download the drivers from?
