I purchased a CY5677 4.2 usb dongle at Digi-Key since none were in stock at cypress at the time. It came in, I plugged it in after installing all relevant kit software for both the 143 and 143-A kits and cysmart 1.2 and it wanted to do a firmware so I updated both the 5lp code and the PRoC code. the kitprog firmware was 2.16 and I used the cysmart 1.2 proc dongle code for the 4.2 CY5677 (BLE_4_2_Dongle_CySmart_256K.hex) it shows up in the device manager as both the UART and I2C but cysmart cannot see it. The 4.1 dongle and module update went fine and the examples work fine. I cannot come up with any kitprog or firmware combination that works. Does anyone have an idea how to get the CY5677 dongle to work in cysmart 1.2.
I tried the following firmware
43 dongle
43-A dongle
1.2.122 version on cypress site.
Any clues. Tried windows 7 pro and windows 10 pro.
Show LessHello,
I am considering making a design with a PSOC 4 microcontroller.
If I want to use the miniprog3 to program it, what connector can I use on the board?
for the 10 pin connector, the documentation indicates the part FTSH-105-01-L-DV-K
Although I can find it on Digikey, it is a bit expensive, and Mouser doesn't have it.
Are there any alternatives?
And what about the 5 pin connector? I had similar lack of success finding it. Is it possible to use common header pins for that?
Thank you,
Jacques
Show LessHello,
I have a BlueTooth Low Energy Pioneer Kit and am attempting to use the Serial device on the PSoC BLE module. I have a PC attached via an Adafruit USB<->Serial card (3.3v) that uses the Arduino serial pins (P1_5 and P1_4) on the Mother board for I/O. I am using the Example UART_Rx04[CY8C4247LQI-BL484] project with the UART [v2.50] module. The only change I made was to move the RX pin from P0_1 in the original project to P1_4. I realize the project uses the LCD display but I am just testing the UART_1_GetChar() call and it never seems to sense a character. I can see the LED flash on the Adafruit card when I send a character but I only get 0 from the call.
I went to the example as my real project using the UART (SCB Model) [3.10] input did not work either. The serial output does work and I get data from the board using the Arduino pins.
Any suggestions ?
Thank you for the help

Show LessHello,
I would like to know if its possible to measure microvolt's with PSOC 4.
Are there any already programmed examples for the same ? I appreciate any assistance in this regard.
Thanks,
Nikhil
Is there a limit to the number of devices that can be bonded? Will each new bonded device over write the old bonding data?
I am using the CYBLE-022001-00
Thanks

Show LessI am wanting to send UART data out P4.0 on CY8C4245PVI-482. Firmware is written in Creator 3.3 CP2.
When I attempt to use the UDB UART block, I cannot allocate the TX pin to P4.0 (the pin does not show in the pin list).
Should I be using the SCB component instead? And if so, how do I select P4.0 as pin to use.
Thanks
Show LessI am trying to figure out what this does.
located in the hids.c file;
line 220 keyboard_data[2u] = 0u; /* Set up keyboard data*/
line 221 keyboard_data[3u] = 0u; /* Set up keyboard data*/
What is the purpose of these two lines?
Show LessI'm in "learn mode" and currently seeing where I get when testing out PSoC101 training video examples using a BLE PROC module. I'm expecting some incompatibilities. Is this one of them.
I'm on lesson 4 (Hardware pins) and found that this would not work for me as get the following error when compiling: "Pin guidance unavailable: 'Pin_SW1(0)' cannot be placed at P4[1]. P4 cannot be used for routed connections. "
Just wondering whether this is an error on my part with my TopDesign schematic or whether this is a limitation with BLE PROC itself.
Show LessI'm noticing some strangeness in that the tuning seems fine when I am connected to my device via the pioneer kitprog, but when I disconnect it and run it off battery, sensitivity seems to drop off(proximity sensing)
Does having a connection to a computer via USB affect tuning? If so what are some good work-arounds?
Show LessHello, I am trying to run a timer isr routine but never get executed. Timer is is set up with a 100KHz clock, Terminal Count of 1000, and interrupt output connected to isr. ISR is set to LEVEL. Includes and code in the isr.c file
main(){
Timer_1_Start()
isr_Timer_Start()
AMux_1_Start()
CyGlobalIntEnable
....
Code compile and programs but isr routine never gets called. What am I missing?
