How do I change the name that is shown in Cysmart from Unknown, I started with the IAS example, and the "find me" service has a name, but I cannot find in settings or code how it got its name so I can name my services and not have 7 unknowns, unless you dig down to the descriptor.
MY BLE services, the immediate alert is displayed as "Find Me" in Cysmart, all others appear as Unknown, WHY and how do I change them to their names?

Show LessOdd question (and I've got more debugging to do):
I've got 3 development boards. Basic HeartRate Sensor example runs great on 2 of the 3 boards. On the 3rd board, I get dumped into the IntDefaultHandler at the BLE_Start() call. Stepping through the code, the offending call (again, on only 1 set of the hardware) is CyBle_StackInit().
Breakpoint at the first/initial return to the Handler (CYBLE_EVT_STACK_ON) never hits.
Further complicating this is, I can fire some simple code with just digital I/O, timers, and UARTs and it will run flawlessly (into the offending hardware). Any big brain, experienced ideas out there on what can/could be going wrong w/n the PSoC4 on the 1 set of hardware that is fine on the other 2?
Physical inspection of the pins doesn't show anything obvious, but I'm thinking that this could just be a bad part? Or part that maybe got ESD'd during placement on the board? Anyone seen that happen.

In Capsense V5.1 , uint32 CapSense_IsProximitySensorActive (uint32 widgetId, uint32 proxId), what's the return?

Show LessHi,
I have a 4 Layer PCB with the CY8CMBR3116 chip.
I do have 2 proximity sensors and 4 buttons
I read the design guide for 4 Layer PCB (3.8.6.2) where it says
LAYER TOP: Sensors
LAYER 2: Sensor Traces
LAYER 3: Hatched GND fill (7mil trace 70 mil spacing)
LAYER BTM: Components + hatched GND fill (7mil trace 70 mil spacing)
it refers to Figure 3-62 as an example but in fthis figure it looks like
LAYER TOP: Sensors + GND
LAYER 2: Sensor Traces
LAYER 3: Hatched GND
LAYER BTM: Components
And i do wan't to use the shield electrode for proximity sensing (3.18.14.1)
There the deisgn guide only mentions 2 layer PCB where
LAYER TOP: Hatch fill with driven shield (7 mil trace 45 mil spacing)
LAYER BTM: Hatch fill with driven shield (7 mil trace 70 mil spacing)
So i am unsure what i should do in my 4 layer PCB?
Currently i do this one:
LAYER TOP: Sensors + Hatch fill with driven shield (7 mil trace 45 mil spacing)
LAYER 2: Sensor Traces
LAYER 3: Hatched GND fill (7mil trace 70 mil spacing)
LAYER BTM: Components +Hatch fill with driven shield (7 mil trace 70 mil spacing)
But i am not really sure if i understood the design guide.
There is also another guide for 4 layer when using shield for liquids which differs ahgain where Layer 2 is filled with hatched shield and the Layer 3 is solid ground fill.
I am a little bit unsure whats the best solution...
Any advices?
Thank you!
Show LessI need a simple set of commands to write a 32bit value to the SFLASH on my PROC-012011 module. This is too store the users selected pairing code. I need to be able to write, read and clear the 32 bit value, this is rather urgent, and the documentation is not clear.
Is there a simple SFLASH example for one 32 bit word?
Show LessHello,
CySmart android application seems to delete not only the .txt file but also the .cyacd file when deleting the old log file in the "CySmart" directory.
It is not particularly a big problem, but please fix it.
(I don't know what is going on iOS)
Thanks,

Show LessDear Communty menber,
I have a costumer that want develop an access gate control at home using BLE for automatically open the gate when is arrive in proximity of entrace. By mean of smartphone application that will be develop to scan for BLE at gate installed and unlock the gate entrance.
I pensonally have some difficult to suggest BLE as best solution, but anyway I would like to ask:
1) are there some standard profile that can be used to proximity and control the access to gate?
2) it is better a custom profile for this application?
3) what is the "software key" to limit the access to only authorized peaple that installa mobile app and have the permission to access
4) how pairing the use by its mobile phone and BLE at gate? Cna be the mobile phone MAC address the key permission for unlock the gate?
Any hint and suggestion will be appreciate.
Thank you
Regards
Maurizio
Show LessHello,
I am using CYBL11573-56LQXI module and detecting a ZCD on P2.4 and executing an Interrupt Handler for a rising edge. And it works perfectly.
When I transferred the same code to CYBLE-022001-EVAL EZ-BLE™ Board and assigned a pin for same function as above even if the pulse is reaching, I am not getting output (which probably means the Interrupt Handler is not getting executed). And I tried it on 3 different pins (P0.4, P0.5, P1.7) on the module.
What could be the reason.
Thank You,
Ameya.
