We are trying to read raw capacitance data using a PSoc series 4000 (proto kit CY8CKIT-145-40XX).

Reading the manuals (!!!) it is documented a low level reading function named:

CapSense_GetSensorCapacitance()

however when compiling code using this function, the function is not found.

Is there anybody who kindly can help us to solve this issue: either by suggesting how to call the function or by suggesting any other "low level" reading function?

We need to read raw capacitance data ("analog" capacitance measurements).

I am working on a circuit schematic that needs to include a CYBLE-222014-01 EZ-BLE Module, MPU-9250 IMU, LiPo charging from a micro-usb circuitry to supply regulated power, a charging status LED, a BLE status LED and an on/off switch.

Currently I have found some bits and pieces and have started putting some things together however I was wondering if anyone has already done this or could give me examples.  I am looking for actual circuit schematics not PSOC creator layouts at this time.

The purpose is to stream the live IMU data through BLE to an android phone app.

IRather than polling I2CMasterStatus(),  I would like to define an ISR callback that is called when I2CMasterWriteBuffer() or I2CMasterReadBuffer() has completed on a PSoC4200M.  This is easy to do when an SCB is configured as a UART, but the solution is not obvious to me when it is configured as an i2c master.

Any pointers?

I am using CY8C4125PVS-482Z for cap touch button design. The cap touch button is a water proof design with guard and shield. We want to choose between auto smart sense, manual and manual with running tuning. Please tell me which one is better. Besides, please tell me the time separation for the smart sense to perform auto calibration and auto tuning. Please tell me the time separation for the manual with running tuning to perform running tuning. If we choose manual mode, how can we perform calibration and run time tuning, and what is the recommend time separation to perform calibration and run time tuning

I am using CY8C4125PVS-482Z  for waterproof cap touch button design. It is a single button. The button width and length is 11mm. Cypress cap touch design guide specify that the button to guard clearance should be at lease 10mm and the guard thickness should be 2mm. Because our cap touch button has limited size. Can we reduce the button to guard clearance and reduce the guard thickness. Please recommend a minimum button to guard clearance and minimum guard thickness. Besides, Can we remove the outer shield surrounding the guard ring to reduce the size. What is the negative effect by removing outer shield

From the documentation, i found this recommended layer stackup:

1. Cap sensors

2. Sense traces

3. Hatched ground plane

4. PSOC and non-capsense related traces

My question is this - should layer 2 have a ground plane around the sense traces, or should layer 2 consist of ONLY the sense traces, and no other copper?
