we use a battery powered BLE 4100. PSoC4.
how can we detect if bootup due to battery change?
can we detect if boot cause is due to software reset or watchdog reset?
if no chip registers can we use onchip RAM in none init section and set this to magic value and check if values is the same then RAM has not been cleared and bootup cause is due to battery change.
if bootup cause is battery change we want to clear some child lock setting in NVM but this cannot be cleared if bootup due to software reset or watchdog reset.
Show Lesshello, I have to interface with CY8C4125AZI-S413, 2 type K thermocouples directly to the internal operational ones, is it possible without using external active components?
Show LessAs I understand it, in order to force an iOS central device to use a new device name when an old one has been stored in it's BLE cash, the peripheral must tell it that a new name exists or that the name has been changed. Can anyone please explain exactly how to do this?
Thanks,
Dennis
Show LessHi.
I use Guard Sensor.
I am trying to prevent false detection due to liquid flow or wet cloth.
I want to Manual Tuning the guard sensor.
So is there a recommended tuning method?
Kit : CY8CKIT-149
Tool : PSoC Creator4.2
Show LessHello, I am working on an application where the peripheral device sends various notifications to the central device with attribute sizes ranging from 10 bytes to 240 bytes. I want to set large MTU and max payload sizes such that large notifications (240 bytes) can be sent in one TX event. I understand that a notification with higher attribute size will lead to higher power consumption. Does the power consumption depend on the specific attribute size of the notification, or the negotiated MTU size? For example, what would happen if I transmit a small 10 byte notification while the attribute MTU size is set to 244 bytes, and DLE is used to set the max payload size to 251 bytes?
Also, are there any examples using DLE in PSOC 4 BLE 4.2?
Thanks!
Show LessHello,
We tried CE210311 on CY8CKIT-041-40XX.
Frankly, this main.c code is not correct.
I correct it and can run well.
The "CapSense_AdcReadResult_mVolts" API is a blocking one.
So, it can not run in STATE_CAPSENSE state.
I attached the modified project.
Is this OK?
Best regards,
Yocchi

Dear Group Members,
I want to program my CY8C4014SXI-421 device using an application
note provided by Cypress (PSoC 4 Programming Using an External
Microcontroller (HSSP) - AN84858). The application note suggests that
if you want to program the device which does not have XRES pin, you
will have to make some modification in the AN84858 project.
The project name is "A_Hssp_Programmer.cydsn". So I want to know
that what type of modifications I will have to make in Hardware side and
software side. Please help. This application note comes with complete
project (A_Hssp_Programmer.cydsn).
Show Lesshi everybody.
