What methods are available to tune capsense on a design that has only SWD pins available for probing?
A) Is it possible to run CapSense Tuner functionality over an SWD interface?
B) Can an Oscilloscope be used to see how a CapSense sensor is being charged then drained?
I understand Oscilloscope probes will add some amount of capacitance to change the performance.

Dear All,
I can use PSoC programmer to program the target chip, please see attached picture 1.
But I want to use PPCli to download, but I can’t do it. Here is my attempt to follow the instructions.
Below is the command I tried:
>GetPorts

Q:How to use PPCli to download a Hex file to the target chip (CY8C4122LQI-433)???
Looking forward to your reply, thank you very much!!
Show LessHello there,
I created a project on Psoc 4, using the uC/OS. I created 3 tasks, two tasks for turn on and turn off leds and one taks is a botton. The task called "Sinal_Pedestre_1_Task" is not working and I do not know why. Someone can help?
Follow the project on the attachment.
For open the project, unzip the file and open the Psoc Creator first, and then click in "File->Open->Project/Workspace" and open the project "Pratica 3_Psoc 4\Micrium\Examples\Cypress\uCOS_PSoC4_BLE\OS2\PSoC\uCOS II.cywrk".
Show LessHi,
I am trying to do some tests on BLE RF waveforms using the Cypress CYBLE-222014-01. The requirement of the test is to capture the output RF waveform of a constant advertising channel such as channel 39. As it stands, the signal appears sporadically and for a very short period of time. I found out that the BLE module offers option of a minimum and a maximum advertising interval, however I don't seem to understand their overall concept. In this test, I am also using fast advertising only (slow advertising has been disabled). Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Chris
Show LessHello, we use the example CE210291, but not for a button, but for a TouchPad (~ 25x25mm), 3x3 buttons. The buttons have a Diamond pattern. This on a 0.55mm glass back and front with Indium Thin Oxid (see attached image).
With the AutoTune setting, the Touch does not work well, no matter what sensitivity is set (some area are not detected correctly).
Is the design not correct, or does something need to be changed in the software setup?
Many thanks
Show LessI have a CY8CKIT-044 and would like to supply external power. It works when I apply power as shown on page 46 of the kit guide but it draws over 100 mA. I have tried applying the 5 volts to the Vin pin and Gnd without success.
What is the proper way to apply external power to this board?

Hi,
I have been trying to use different motors with the CY8CKIT-037 (PSoC Creator 4.4).
Everything worked nicely at first with the supplied motor. Afterwards I tried to adapt the program to a different motor by modifying motor.c . That lead to a blinking LED2 and no matter what I changed I could not get it to work.
I then tried to go back to the supplied motor. However, I get the same result. I started from scratch as descibed in the user guide. As soon as I plug in USB to power the system up I get a blinking LED2.
When I use the debugging function of PSoC Creator I get
"The target program has stopped at: file: main.c line: 50 function: main address: 0x0000035A",
which refers to "uint8 HallReader =0;". That makes no sense to me as it is just a definition of a variable.
Is there a way to figure out what the problem might be?
Show LessHi,
Do you have an example code of watchdog reset for PSOC4100 ?
Best regards

Hi, I am working on a product which uses PSoC4 BLE. It currently has OTA upgradeable stack and application. However, there is user data in the application that needs to be secured and read-protected. For the flash security options, if I set all rows to PROTECTED mode, the OTA updates to the application/stack fails. So, I can't set the mode to PROTECTED for entire flash.
Is there any way using to secure the user data either with checksum exclude section or sharing const data from launcher project to the App? The constraints are -
1) The flash location where the user data is stored needs to be in PROTECTED mode (read-only)
2) I need to initialize the user data (byte array) to a fixed value. This should not be done from either stack or app projects as it seems their flash locations won't be secured. Perhaps from launcher project or through linker script? Can you share examples on this?
Show LessHello everyone,
I am facing this issue with the CapSense tuner that I cannot seem to troubleshoot.
I am using CYBLE-222005-EVAL Connected to CY8CKIT-042-BLE Pioneer dev board and MiniProg 3
I have a simple capacitive sensor connected to the dev board. I am trying to use the Capsense Tuner to tune the sensor output
I am using the example from PSoC creator "PSoC4 CapSense Low Power-One Button"
Once I try to establish the connection to the tuner, I get this error "There was an error reading data from the device "
s
I added screenshots below of the configuration parameters for both the Tuner and EZI2C
I would like to ask if someone faced this issue before, and how to resolve it,
Your help is very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
