Hello,

I consider designing with PSoC4100SPlus and refer to the following application note. But there is no description about the device.

- PSoC 4 Hardware Design Considerations (AN88619)

Especially, I'm interested in section "8.2 Special Ports".

Could you tell me the functionality about Digital I/O Synchronization and Internal Digital/Analog Routing by each Port Number for the device?

Best regards

Hello,

Thank you very much for your patient.

Basically, the table described in the application note AN88619, "Section 8.2 Special Ports" specifies the certain ports that do not support UDB/DSI and/or analog/AMUX routing.

The correct table (including PSoC 4100S Plus) is following.

PSoC 4000PSoC 4000S / 4100SPSoC 4100S Plus
Port Number0, 1, 230, 1, 23, 40, 1, 23, 4, 5, 6, 7
Digital Input / Output SynchronizationNNNNNN

Internal Digital Routing

NNNNNN

Internal Analog Routing

YNYYYY

thank you.

For the PSoC 4100S Plus device information,

PSoCR 4: PSOC 4100S Plus Datasheet PROGRAMMABLE SYSTEM-ON-CHIP (PSOC)

https://japan.cypress.com/documentation/technical-reference-manuals/psoc-4100s-and-psoc-4100s-plus-p...

And, the kit PSoC 4100S Plus mounted is:

CY8CKIT-149 PSoCR 4100S Plus Prototyping Kit

Regarding the I/O, please refer to the section 7. I/O System in PSoC 4100S Plus TRM

Thank you for your information.

But I don't understand how the table in "8.2 Special Ports" is configured by the connection specifications or restrictions of each port number. For example, in the case of PSoC4100S (not 4100SPlus), only the combination of Internal Analog Routing of ports 0, 1, and 2 is "Y" in the table.

Where can I find the results from the Datasheet or TRM? If I understand how it works, I might be able to investigate specification as "8.2 Special Ports" for PSoC4100SPlus.

If possible, could you tell me Y/N information of each port for PSoC4100SPlus?

Best regards.

Apologize for late response.

Basically, "Special Ports" is not so clear... and Y/N for PSoC4100S in the table has to be double-checked...

So, it will take a little bit more time.

Once it is cleared, will update this thread asap.

thank you.
