Hi to all,
I am using miniprog3 for many years...everything was great.
Today, I tried to used it with my new two DELL OptiPlex 3070 Tower, I3-9100 3.6GHz and Windows 10 Pro (2019).
Using the Psoc creator 4.2 everything works fine!! but the main use for those machines are production. So, I run the Mniprog3 from a customized SW based on Cypress sources. This SW run ok in my and other laptops... But here, with the DELL machines, the SW even can't detect if the miniprog3 is connected or disconnected.
There is nothing else installed in the computer, it was planned to be used at production plant...
Maybe someone saw this kind of behavior or have some idea????
Appreciate your feedback.
Many thanks,
Daniel.

Hello Daniel,
The MiniProg3 programmer is not recommended for production programming. We suggest customers who need production programming support to consult our 3rd party programming vendors on our General Programming page or through our distribution partners: https://www.cypress.com/go/distributors
Regarding the custom tool not recognizing the MiniProg3 device, can you please let us know how the tool was developed? Is it using the PPCOM C# examples provided or using PPCLI?
As you are able to use MiniProg3 using PSoC Creator, I assume that the device is being recognized.
Also, can you please let us know the PSoC Programmer version installed on both PCs?
Thanks and Regards,

Thanks, will check it.
Regarding the custom tool not recognizing the MiniProg3 device, can you
please let us know how the tool was developed? Is it using the PPCOM C#
examples provided
* yes; the C_sharp application that comes with the Psoc
Creator 4.2*
or using PPCLI?
As you are able to use MiniProg3 using PSoC Creator,
yes
I assume that the device is being recognized.
* yes, works good. Just with the PP_COM_Wrapper.dll
doesn't work.*
BTW, I tied today in an older PC different brand, and same behaviour.
Also, can you please let us know the PSoC Programmer version installed on
both PCs?
the version of the programmer is 3.29.0
Also the programmer and the Psoc creator 4.2 are working in the PC.
Thanks and Regards,
