I am using a CY8C4127AXI-S443 and need to add an external crystal to the design to improve the timing accuracy of the system clock. Where can I find the app note or information on how to add this crystal? Thank you.

Hello Ronald,
Please refer to the schematic link below for connecting the External crystal (page 4):
https://www.cypress.com/file/443821/download
The page 12 of the datasheet gives the pins for connecting the Crystal:
https://www.cypress.com/file/396611/download
The crystal manufacturer typically provides numerical values for parameters, namely the maximum drive level (DL), the equivalent series resistance (ESR) and the parallel load capacitance (CL)

Thank you. So it looks like I will need to add two capacitors to each side of the crystal, correct? If the crystal's load capacitance is 8PF, then I would use approximately 12PF load caps then? I am asking since some micros have programmable load capacitance.
Best regards,
Ron
