Hi safvan__muhammed,

It is not possible to use metal overlay over CapSense sensor. The CapSense works only with dielectric materials as overlay. Please refer to the Getting Started withh CapSense guide for more information on Overlays.

In case you need to use metal overlay, you can try our MagSense feature that uses a metal overlay (Metal Over Touch) to detect touch based on inductive sensing.

Hi Bragadheesh

Thanks for your information, Can you mention the suitable sensing inductance ic for higher thickness metal target ?

Hi safvan__muhammed,

Please let us know the thickness and material of the metal target. We have only one IC that supports Inductive sensing, ie 4700 S

Hi

Thanks for your information. Is any separate module of PSoC 4 MagSense without controller unit ?

Hi safvan__muhammed,

Currently we only have two kits with MagSense.

1. PSoC 4700S Inductive sensing EVAL kit

2.  Coil Inductive sensing breakout board (comes without MCU) which will be released shortly.

Hi

I got your document of inductive sensing design guide(AN219207 ). Which specified the etched metal overlay sensor design system, but in the document has not enough data about the etched metal overlay system. can you provide the suitable documents....
