Nor Flash Forum Discussions
Hi,
we did a little (big?) mistake in the conception around the serial flash:
on the last serie of cards (hundreds) we forgot to put a pullup resistor on the CS# (ChipSelect#) signal coming from an FPGA.
The Vcc of the Flash rises about 40 ms before the CS# rises, which is contrary to what the datasheet requires (they should rise together with CLK and Data In too)
Still the cards seem to work fine, but i wonder if there is a risk of corruption or anything alike?
Thanks for your help,
best regards,
Jeremy
Show LessHi all,
I would like to download the low-level drivers for the S70FS01GS SPI flash memory. However when try to do that at the address:
https://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/low-level-driver-spi-flash
I am readdressed to a License Agreement page before I am able to push the download button, and apparently there is no way to accept the conditions and return to the download menu.
Anyone can help me on that?
Thanks,
Stefano
Show LessHi all,
I'm using S25FL127S SPI NOR flash in my project. I read in the datasheet in section 7.6.3 that
" The Status Register 2 OTP bits can be changed using the WRR command with 24 input cycles. "
Does that mean I can change the OTP bits of SR2 back to 0 from 1? Please clarify.
Thanks & Regards,
Vinay

how to interface with spi nor flash communication steps
any one can help me S25FL128S Drivers like Write, Read and Erase functions.

Show LessHI,
There are some question about using the Suspend and Resume Command.
Is it possible to program or erase to another sector during the Suspend command?
When resumed with Resume command,
What is the status of the sector where the program or erase was suspended?
What is the status when the power is turned off while there is a sector where programming or erasing is suspended?
Is it possible to access the sector?
Are there any other points to be aware of besides Suspend Latency (tSL)?

Kumada
Hi,
This specific part version (AGMFI013) is ordered as a "133 MHz" part (the "AG" in the version.) Can it support DDR, or does a DS (or DP) version have to be ordered? It's not 100% clear from the datasheet that DDR Read Command is an optional instruction, but the Ordering Information section does seem to say that DDR and "non-DDR" are separate parts. If I have to order a new part, can my software determine (through the ID-CFI information?) if the MCU is booting on a DDR-capable NOR QSPI Flash? I would need to know this to preserve backward compatibility with existing products that only support SDR.
Thanks!
Jean-Luc
