I'd like to test xSPI interface using NOR flash and I want to check those three interfaces

1) QSPI  2) Octal 3) Hyperbus

By the way, is there any solution to support those three or two interfaces at the same time on the single package?

I'm designing for a testing board putting on three kinds of interface components for them, but it seems like over using.

Hello,

    < 2nd reply >

Thank you for contacting Cypress Semiconductor Corp.

Please provide the complete Ordering Part Number (OPN) of the Semper Octal (xSPI) and/or Semper HyperBus device(s) of interest.

It is certainly possible to test the Octal interface and SPI interface.  But it is important to highlight that the Semper S28HL-T/HS-T Octal series is designed to be set at either Octal (8x) protocol  -or-  Single  SPI (1x) protocol, via Configuration Register-5 bit-0 (CFR5N[0]).  The QSPI and HyperBus interface are not available options on the S28HL-T/HS-T Octal series.

It is also possible to test the HyperBus interface and SPI interface, but it is also important to highlight that the Semper S26HL-T/HS-T HyperBus series is designed to be set at either HyperBus (DQ[7:0]) interface protocol  -or-  Single SPI (1x) protocol, via Configuration Register-3 bit-1 (CFR3N[1]).  QSPI and Octal interface are not available options on the Semper S26HL-T/HS-T HyperBus series.

Hello

Thank you for your guide

I'm going to choose to test each of xSPI interfaces.

- qSPI : aftermarket common NOR-flash

- Hyperbus : S26HS512TGABHB003

- Octal : S28HS512TGABHM013

Thank you

BR,

KyungHyun Tae
