What is the absolute maximum junction temperature for NOR FLASH S25FL128S.

Thank you for contacting Cypress Semiconductor

The absolute maximum Junction Temperature for the S25FL128S is 125C.

However, it is not recommended to operate the S25FL512S at 125C for any length of time,

as erratic operation may occur at 125C, but no permanent damage will result.

Please provide the complete ordering part number so the maximum OPERATING

Junction Temperature can be determined.

The maximum OPERATING Junction temperature at 85C are as follows:

S25FL128SAGMFI000 : 16-pin SOIC pkg. = 98.68C

S25FL128SAGNFI000 : 8-pin WSON pkg. = 95.08C

The temperatures detailed directly above are the OPERATING Junction Temperatures for each package type.

(These temperatures are not to be confused as Maximum Junction Temperature)

Is the maximum operating junction temperature of device S25FL128SDPNFI000 is equal to device  S25FL128SAGNFI000?   i.e. 95.08C?

Yes, although the speed grade may be different, the actual package types are identical.

Therefore, the maximum OPERATING Junction Temperature is also identical @ 95.08C.
