Non Volatile RAM (F-RAM & NVSRAM)

Hello,

Since FRAM is destructive read, I think that read-after-write is executed internally even in read access.

Will the memory contents be protected when an instantaneous power interruption occurs during FRAM read access?

Or may there be a possibility that the contents of the memory will be lost depending on the timing of instantaneous interruption of power supply?

Hi,

If you follow power up ramp rate (tVR) and power down ramp rate (tVF) timing specs during power up and power down, all the contents for FRAM memory will be protected if an accidental power down happens.

Please find our KBAs regarding this from the below links:

1. Voltage Ramp Rate Required for F-RAM™ Devices - KBA204270

2. F-RAM™ Power Up and Power Down - KBA96016

Thanks and Regards,
