Hell Experts,

We are using CY14B104LA NVSRAM as external peripheral connected to AM5708 ARM custom SOC via GPMC based on chip select information.

Could you please let me know  the timing parameters for NVSRAM which we can set in CPU GPMC configurations.

Thanks,

Gopinath

Hi Gopinath,

All the timing parameters for our device CY14B104LA are available in the datasheet. Please refer "AC Switching Characteristics" given on page 12 of the datasheet (https://www.cypress.com/file/43361/download ). Please feel free to ask if you need any clarifications about them.

Thanks and Regards,

Sudheesh

Hi Sudheesh,

Thanks for your quick response.

Could you please let me know the significance of three different timing values(20 ns, 25 ns and 45 ns). How to decide to go with specific timing category.

Thanks,

Gopinath

Hi Gopinath,

The three different timing values represent the maximum time required by the device for a read operation to complete and output data on the data pins. Your application requirements will have a max/min read cycle time requirements and this spec is helpful in choosing the speed grade of the device for proper operation in the application. For example if you need a fast read cycle time you may go for 20 ns graded device and if you do not need that fast of a operation you can go for 45 ns option.

Thanks,

Pradipta.
