Question: Will a serial port interrupt (either a receive or transmit interrupt) wake the EZ-USB if it has gone to sleep?
No. External logic is needed to pull WAKEUP# low to resume from Suspend. Please see chapter 9 of the Technical Reference Manual, table 9-1 and section 9.3. If it is desired to have an external interrupt resume from suspend external circuitry will be required.
