Roxio Toast Support for AT2 in Mac OS

Roxio Toast Support for AT2 in Mac OS

Question: Does Toast support AT2?

Answer:

Toast operates slightly different between OS 9.x and OS X.

OS 9.x - This is not AT2 specific but has more to do with the driver that Toast provides for a particular CD-RW. This means that support for any particular device must be added by ROXIO and that for each device that has a different VID/PID Roxio must add support so their driver gets loaded instead of the Apple mass storage driver or the Cypress driver. Please contact Roxio to get this support added. Roxio must also support the particular CD-RW device. You can visit the Roxio web site under Support and then Recorder Support to determine if your CD-RW is currently supported and at what version support was added.

OS X - In OS X in a mass storage compliant device, which the AT2 is, the OS will provide the USB driver and give Toast an API. You should be able to use either the Apple mass storage driver or the Cypress mass storage driver in OS X. The actual recorder will still need to be supported by the software. You can visit the Roxio web site under Support and then Recorder Support to determine if your CD-RW is currently supported and at what version support was added.
