Question: How to measure larger (100-200pF) capacitance using PSoC?
Response: PSoC can measure capacitance by two methods: CSA and CSD. CSA can be used to measure maximum capacitance of 30pF. CSD can be used to measure larger capacitance by setting proper value of 8 bit prescalar. Prescalar period should long enough, so that the sensing capacitor should charge to Vdd or discharge to Vmod during each cycle. This can be tested by setting prescalar value 15 to measure large capacitance of 200pF.
