Question: What is the difference between CY23S08 and W152?
The W152 and the CY23S08 is the same part. Cypress Semiconductor bought IC-Works which made the W152. Cypress's intent was to Cypressized all acquired parts to have CY- name. Cypress's characterization specs are different from IC-Works. Cypress re-characterized the W152 silicon. The datasheet was updated to reflect differences in Cypress's measurement results (mainly derived from the different measurement equipment, procedures, corporate guardband, etc).
