Question: Which is the key parameter which differentiates between CY23S05 and CY2305 besides the fact the part with S is a Spread Aware and the other is not?
Answer:
The CY23S05 device which is Spread Aware has a wider loop bandwidth and it is because of this parameter that it is able to pass the spread signal through it without loss. The other part without the "S" which is CY2305 has comparatively narrow loop bandwidth which does not make them Spread Aware. However, even though the CY2305 ZDB (Zero Delay Buffer) does have low loop bandwidth, it is not as low enough to that granularity to be able to filter out the spread to give a clean clock.
