Question: I am designing my project using part CY8C21x34 in PD5.0 SP6. When I go to CSD wizard, CSD wizard is completely blank. Why is this happening and how do I fix this issue?
Answer: This is because of a known bug in some PSoC Designer files. To fix the problem,
1. Unzip the attached Zip file to a known location with folders.
2. Open the following folder. C:\Program Files\Cypress\Common\CypressSemiDeviceEditor\Data\Stdum\CSD\
3. Rename PartNumber.xml to PartNumber.bak
4. Copy the PartNumber.xml file from the CSD folder of the unzipped folders.
5. Open the following folder. C:\Program Files\Cypress\Common\CypressSemiDeviceEditor\Data\Stdum\CSDADC\
6. Rename PartNumber.xml to PartNumber.bak
7. Copy the PartNumber.xml file from the CSDADC folder of the unzipped folders.
This problem is fixed in PD5.1 which can be downloaded from here.
