How to archive or share your PSoC Creator Design?
- If you just zip up a folder, and email it there is no guarantee that it will open correctly on the recipient’s machine. So use Archiving rather than zip.
In the Project menu there is an item entitled “Archive Workspace/Project…”. It launches a wizard that creates a zip file with all the content you need to reliably share your projects.
You can use one of the following levels:
- Minimal – This level includes project source files and generated source files. Only non-external files are archived. Non-external files are those files located under the archiving source’s parent directory on disk.
- Complete – This level includes project source files, generated source files, all derived files (build output files), and user data files. Only non-external files are archived. Non-external files are those files that are located under the archiving source’s parent directory on disk.
- Bundle – This level includes project source files, generated source files, all derived files (build output files), user data files, and dependant projects. External files are included in this level. Also, project/workspace files have their dependencies/links updated to reference the archived copies of the projects/files.
Make sure you leave the “Create Zip Archive” checked. It’s quick, it’s easy, and you can email the resulting file.
