Question: When should I set the reference power to REF HIGH?
Answer:
- If any of your analog user modules are running at high power, set the reference power to REF HIGH.
- If you have more than one analog user module in one column running at medium power, set the reference power to REF HIGH.
- If you have a ADC or a DAC running at a speed greater than 1.5MHz, set the reference power to REF HIGH.
A general rule of thumb is to set the REF HIGH to high power when you start with your development and once the design is ready and working, you can start reducing the reference power if there are any power consumption constraints.
