Hi,

I have just tried to reply to a question below

https://community.cypress.com/t5/PSoC-6-MCU/Psoc63-CM4-debug-not-start/td-p/177976

And  I noticed that I could not upload the screen shots to show the method/steps.

Would you teach me how we can be allowed to upload images to a discussion?

Hi @MotooTanaka ,

I took a screenshot of your response and pasted the image directly into my reply and that worked.

Next, I used the Insert Photos option and that also worked.

Can you please confirm the same?

Dear Rak**bleep**h-san,

I tried to use "Insert Image" and I got a dialog "Insert/edit image" which has input areas of

=======================

Source

Image description

Dimension

[v] Constrin propotions

=======================

and I could not directly paste or drag/drop the jpeg I wanted to insert.

Am  I missing somthing?

I also tried fill the absolute filename of my Jpeg in the Source field but it did not work.

Then I tried drag and drop a Jpeg file to this response,

and got "You do not have permission to upload images."

Hi @MotooTanaka-san,

I am not sure why it is requesting for permissions and regarding the name, somehow its accepting the same in my signature XD
I have notified the team regarding both these issues. Thank you very much for pointing this out 🙂

Thanks and Regards,

Same as Motoo, I was not able to insert an image by any methods described above. Using Chrome/Win8.1

Also, image insertion dialog is not friendly.

Sara,

The image dialog now works, but on the output I see some dummy triangles instead of images

Hi,

I tried to upload a new JPEG image,  and got

"Uploading rino_190716_1.JPG resulted in the following error: You have reached your upload limit of 1,000 images."

Lol.

It seems that I have already uploaded maximum number of images to the community...

I wonder if the limit can be expanded...

Dear Rakshith-san,

Yes, I can upload images now. (like below)

But I heard that the problem I was facing was the limit of maximum number of images which was originally 1,000. But in my case, the number of images I have uploaded was already more than 2,000.
So I think the limit of my images were expanded to some big number.

Sara,

What is the trick to find a list of potential Labels when attempting to post an initial question?

I've found the Selected Location shows up below the Label box as a clue. If the Selected Location is the same as the label, why have the extra step to fill in a label? The tool will NOT accept any random Label and I can't find a list of Labels once I have written my question.

Hello Greg,

Thank you for your detailed feedback. I agree and there is a user experience issue here that needs to be resolved. Let me also talk a little about labels, tags etc.

Each area in the community is set up with product or category related labels. Its mandatory to select a label before posting a question. Adding tags is optional.

The inclusion of labels is important to improve the search and content categorization experience for members as we have found in the past that relying on tags leads to omissions and irregularities which lead to poor search results.

The field for the label with the list of available labels to select from just below is confusing and frankly annoying.

For the time being- please select one of the labels displayed, it will populate the field and then enter any preferred message tags and continue with posting your question.

I agree that we need to address this and have added this issue to our User Experience roadmap. I will follow up when we are able to improve this.

Best Regards, Sara
