Hi,
I am planning to use thyristor TZ500N16KOFHPSA1. I would like to know if normal IGBT/MOSFET gate driver will work with Thyristor? or we will need a separate new circuit?
Please give me reference design and Gate driver IC part number recommendations.
Thanks

I am using the QuadDec component in PSOC Creator with a PSOC6. The QuadDec will decode a motor encoder that has 8000 counts (as in, one full revolution of the motor shaft is 8000 counts).
--> How can I take the QuadDec output and "modulo" it, so that its output will roll over at 8000?
For instance, as the motor shaft is spinning, the QuadDec output will go from 0 --> 7999 --> 0 (it should never reach 8000).
Show LessIn the registers manual there are 4 Slave select (SS) lines available (e.g. SCB0_SPI_CTRL, SLAVE_SELECT bits) , but on the pin description of PMG1-S3 I can only find one scb_select line per scb...
* How can I implement more than one select line? Do I really have to do this by hand in firmware?
* What happens if I select Slave 1, 2 or 3 in the register (which seem to be not routed to any hw pin, or at least not documented)? The documentation tells "The IP should be disabled when changes are made to this field."
* How can I disable the automatic select line activation when I want to select a different slave (by hand)? Can I program The SLAVE_SELECT bits to a value between 1..3 ("The IP should be disabled when changes are made to this field.") or can I simply disable the output driver of the Slave 0 select pin in order not to have two SS lines active at once?
Thanks for your help!
Show LessHi
May I know IKCM30F60GD , what is the max output current @80 C.
Thanks
I am designing a power bank with two type C port and two type A port. looking for a integrated four output buck-boost converter so that the chip should support usb power delivery. which chip should i use? also is there any infineon chip where i can do the same but number of inductors will be less than 4?
Show LessFor my tail light project, the tail current needs to be 3mA, but I read the specification that the output is 5.62~72mA, with the PWM to do 3mA, may I ask how about the accuracy in this case?

Show LessI am attempting to follow the "Secure Boot" SDK user guide but continually run into the same problem. When attempting to setup the "CySecureTools" workspace i get the same error 'bash: cysecuretools: command not found' i get this even though i installed it and when i attempt to reinstall cysecuretools i got the message stating command already satisfied. This is all done on Windows.
Show LessHello everyone! Is it possible to directly measure the current running through a DC motor using the BTN9970LV shield? I tried finding the answer in the data sheet and user manual but I was unable to. Thanks for your responses!
Show LessHello,
I have a project that needs to have a frequency connection that takes place at 5”. This connection will complete a circuit.
What is the best way to do this? Will it be easiest to limit the transmit power and wait for a frequency connection to be detected? This would be easiest with an RFid transmitter I’m sure.
Would it be easiest to have a constant frequency connection between the two components that activate the circuit once the frequency strength reaches a certain strength? I want the tots enclosure to be no more than 1”x1”LxW and .5” in H
I want the simplest most reliable connection method that allows for an activation of a circuit without fail. Please let me know what you think. Call or email me. Thank you.
