There is also new component for I2C-LCDs. It is even capable of using arbitrary command sets, so it should run with many modules available out there.

Is it just me or does the download now makes one jump through hoops for downloading? I don't want to install a software just to download the software I really want (heck, my DSL line is already slow, Akamai will not change that). Then the website asks me why I don't want to install this stuff, just to tell me at the end it cannot find the file?
(I tested with FF20 and Chrome on Linux and Windows - only Chrome@Linux was able to get me the file...)

It worked with Chrome on Linux (even without the downlod manager), I just transferred the file over and installed it.

I've downloaded and installed it via the cypress update manager without any issues.
