I had ever used the trace of wiced smart IDE to obtain the debug trace message from bcm2073x.
Recently, I can't use this function. When I click "start debug traces", an error message appear on "Console" tab, "Error: Error getting portID." In "trace setup", I can't find corresponding com port even if they appear in window device manager.
This is IDE version:
WICED Smart IDE for C/C++ Developers
Version: Juno Service Release 2
Build id: 20130225-0426
How can I resue trace function?

This could be unorthodox but is re-installation an option to you? We just launched 2.2 recently...

Can you verify that you see the two "usb serial port" ports on your device manager? There could be some issue there... And i presume you are using sdk2.1.1?

I have a bcm20702 usb dongle which plug in my laptop.
I used dongle to search and added those 2 BT peripherals, but some driver installing was failure.
I can compile and download any sample into TAG3.

Ok, sorry.
I am not sure we currently support the bcm20702 usb dongle.
I will check with the team

I don't think this has anything to do with the dongle.
I assume you get this error message even if you remove the dongle - correct?
Can you print out the complete console error message you get?

Correct, the issue of “trace” of IDE is NOT caused by usb dongle.
Dongle involved because mwf_mmfae<http://community.broadcom.com/people/mwf_mmfae> wanted to know that why there were two driver error on my device manage.
