1. Re: Programming errors CY8CKIT-007 with MiniProg3
DaKn_263916 Jan 17, 2014 11:01 AM (in response to pacr_284376)Look at the part number for PSOC, may be an older ES part, and only supported in
earlier Creator, 2.0,2.1, 2.2. You can find out in their respective release notes
when your part was no longer supported.

pacr_284376 Jan 21, 2014 4:03 AM (in response to pacr_284376)Thanks for the answer
Update :
Indeed this devkit contains CY8C3866AXI-040 ES2 which is not supported.
I solved this by not using this devkit anymore. Unfortunately I did allready do several hw modifications so I couldnt send it back to Farnell. I will now use a CY8CKIT-030A instead.

DaKn_263916 Jan 21, 2014 4:58 AM (in response to pacr_284376)You might be able to get something for the kit on ebay if not too badly
hacked up. Just a thought. Alternatively yank the ES2 part off and replace.
I have seen some videos on youtube doing hi pitch smt with some fairly
simple methods, like flood a side with solder, and wick up excess/bridges
with solder wick.

pacr_284376 Jan 21, 2014 6:48 AM (in response to pacr_284376)Thanks, I will keep the board. Maybe I can use it in a later stage. I allready (destructively) removed the LCD to use these spots for my own hardware connection so selling wont be an option.

JoMe_264151 Jan 21, 2014 8:45 AM (in response to pacr_284376)When installing an older version of Creator (pre 2.0) you may program and use the ES2 chip. On the Cypress website you'll find an archive of older Creator versions here: www.cypress.com/
