I am using kit -001. I wanted to measure power consumed by PSoC for some configuration. But even before I place anything in the Top design I am measuring current of nearly 50mA.
The setup is simple Voltage source->ammeter->PSoC.
I removed jumper of Potentiometer, and the board schematics are not so good so as to analyse power consumed by anyother device on board. Does anyone know how to configure board for power measurement.

Something WILL run in your PSoC, you only don't know what. Why do you measure the board with LEDs, Rs and other hardware? Just connect Power to a PSoC 29466 PXI to measure.
Best would be to program a loop at lowest speed with no used IO-pind beforehand.

The KB article is not so very deep. Is there any other article I can refer to?Or is there something I should modify in the kit -001

The most direct route would be to examine schematic, loads, and jumpers.
Even consider bending a pin to control what is powered if needed.
I am not aware of any other article on this, but I seem to remember a post
on this topic answered by a Cypress employee, but I cannot find it.

there are various ways to calculate power either by power meter or take theorectical calculation
use VI=P u know the V appliedto kit and we can easily measure current drwan by kit
so power consumed by 001 can be found easily

I believe the measurement goal is not of the kit but just the
PSOC running on the kit ?

The 001kit's main advantage is its flexiility, but having lots of stuff on board will make your power measurements useless.
Using a CY8CKIT-030 (PSOC 3) or CY8CKIT-050 (PSOC 5) will alow you to measure power consumption more acurately. there are even dedicated pins for it.

You can refer to low power App note. This has all the details helpful for low power application of PSoC and also necessary changes that are to be made
http://www.cypress.com/?rID=64554. This link will take you to the App note.
