Hi Community,

how can I print the Pinout of my Design? When I look at the .cydwr-file the printer symbol is grayed out (as well as the menu-entries in the File-menu). When printing the  design sheets, the pinout is not part of the output.

What did I overlook?

Regards

Bob

As far as I know, Creator does not yet support printing any of the of the Design-Wide Resources pages.

One idea I can offer is to hide all the other windows in tool (undock using the push pin), maximize the Pin Editor as much as possible, and then use Alt+Print Screen.

I think the Print function for these pages is coming in a future release, but I don't know for sure.

This has been solved with the new Creator version 3.

In Creator: "Build -> Generate Project Datasheet" a .pdf is generated which not only contains the pinout. From Acrobat Reader you may -if you want- print the pinout only, but you will be surprised what the documentation contains.

Use PrtSc key, then paste into paint.net, crop, and convert to an image file

of various types for use in other docs.

Or use free foxit reader to extract image from PDF as Bob mentioned.

Bob/Dana - Thanx for pointing this out. It is a great output. Is there any way known to work with a template or something for it? I don't mind Cypress name and copyright all over it but it could become confusing or a legal issue. should my product REALLY have Copyright 2014 Cypress Semiconductor and Cypress Logos all over it? -Ed

You can always doctor the image and remove the @c stuff.

Use paint.net, a freebee and very useful.

On second thought is a pinout copyrighted ? Maybe post a case

with what you want to do, and let Cypress respond.

To create a technical case at Cypress -

www.cypress.com

“Support”

“Technical Support”

“Create a Case”

Regards, Dana.
